Agree. I think the "leader role" boils down to wins and how a "leader" makes others around them better. Dlo is in position to do exactly that with a young team and being on his second year as a 2nd overall pick.

Following the Lakers now (I only know about Laker's poor W/L record the past few years, firing of Scott and Russell being 2nd pick), I think what stood out most for me was how Russell was able to step up and take difficult shots during decisive, important moments in the summer league games. I think it takes a measure of courage, experience and mettle to carry this out and few players on every team would be able to bear such responsibility. I also do think its nice how he is able to encourage and praise his teammates as well and try to be supportive.

Nonetheless, when I see questionable decisions being made out on the floor, forced plays and the tendency for control, I think Russell will need time to mature and to broaden out. His comments and answers in the interviews (complimentary and saying all the right things in parts) gives me the impression that he hasn't yet been tested and still has growth to undergo (imo). Hopefully his development as a person and player will develop naturally and forged with the gradual passage of time as opposed to being manufactured by outside pressures and expectations.

No confidence. Does he even want to play basketball?

I would give Ingram a B/B+. Fact is, that when he was bodied up and played physically, he was bothered and fumbled the ball numerous times, which resulted to a bad shooting percentage. Bottomline, he needs to get stronger (which we all knew) but, it definitely showed in summer league, and its summer league.

Lets go Ingram!!!! Pump that iron and eat that meat!!! Come into the season at 2hunnid!!!

Sure I agree. My grades are for tonight's game

Zublock and Ingram looked good today. Even Brown did, but I'm assuming that was just fools gold.

I'd be really surprised if Anthony Brown is in the roster by start of the season. He's just not an NBA caliber player and someone or the other in training camp is bound to outplay him and claim his spot if we don't find a trade before that.

Agreed. He and Young should be traded for a defensive wing.

I didn't watch the game only highlights, but didn't he (brown) get hot in the 4th? Points against him are valid, but I wouldn't write him off just yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if we waived him but he may be better served with more time in the d-league.

Brown has looked totally frazzled since he was drafted, IMO. But the 4th quarter I saw a guy who figured something out. He was aggressive, making plays, hitting shots. I think he seems to struggle with confidence and it sort of turns into a feedback loop of insecurity.

I'm hoping he builds off that quarter and comes into camp hungry. Because as others have said his back is to the wall.

2 at best no-value players are not gonna net us anything positive.

I think the coaching staff will give him a chance, still hoping he can be a Danny Green type player.

Can't hit on every pick but at least we're not missing lottery picks like Boston.

Brown is such a frustrating player to watch.
He seems like a nice kid and has the physical tools to ply ball at the NBA level.

He has shown he can defend on the perimeter.
But he just seems to fade on a consistent basis.
I also felt something clicked in him in the 4th quarter though.
And the coaching staff like him.

I think they will give him every chance.
He needs to knock down the open 3 when he has them.

If he can show that he can do that consistently, I think they'll keep him on the roster.
