listen on 790 the ticket. radio, app, or website

said it was Arison's decision to bring TJ back
they asked him if he would come back for a different contract but he refused since he didn't want to go back on his word with Nets
so they matched it

Riley's story about draft picks was very good though.

His pretending impotence in relation to Wade's deal is outrageous though. Wade's exit was the plan.

Not really Riley is a master of words and using the media when he needs to. What is he gonna say "Yeah we wanna lose games and tank"?

I really like how he stood up for Hassan though. The organization trusts him and is ready to teach him how to lead! But on another note, we are TANKING!

Looks like Derrick Williams will be playing the Deng role next season. Riley expects we can make him in to at least at 38% three point shooter.

Ira calling Hassan a "neophyte" in the league... Neophyte must mean double-double machine with an occasional triple-double with blocks? Somebody should slam dunk some sense into Mr Winderman's empty head.

I would love Bosh off the bench in a limited role to work him slowly. Even if it's just backup Center minutes and no long trips or back to backs on the road. I'll take it

Very interesting Pat Riley Press Conference.
He took the total blame and he really did not believe that Wade would choose another team.
Pat never talked to Dwyane personally at all during free agency.
He was only talking through Dwyane Agent
Pat stated he should of taken the threat serious and flown out to Europe to speak to Wade.
What Pat want and what Wade wanted was a badly misread on him.
Wade wanted 3 yrs 60 million.
Pat stated that he assumed that the relationship about the direction the team will go will include Wade in the decision making like has in the past.
Pat felt that 1 and 1 would give Wade to ability to talk to Pat about what players he should go after like they have in the past.
He went in detail about when the big 3 came together. That their demands were Mike Miller and Haslem to be part of the team. He told them thats impossible with the money they were demanding, so the players decided to take less for Haslem and Pat had to trade Beasley to get Mike Miller for the Big 3. Trading Beasley was not Pat decision.
Pat was so emersed and locked down to talk to Durant that he didnt not give the attention to Wade.
Pat felt if he took personal time and flew out to Europe to find Wade he may have been able to talk Wade into why he wanted the 2 yr for 40 mill (1 and 1) for Wade instead of the 3 years.
Pat started to talk about the trades for the Big three that involved the draft picks and fifth year. Bosh, Wade, and James demanded the 5th year. And told them look do not ask me to add young players because they were making it impossible. It sounded like he was very angry that the Big 3 opted out of their contract the 5th year after they demanded it.
He felt it was a must to have 2 of the past players returned (Whiteside and Wade).
Tyler Johnson was a demand by Micky Arison.

Very very detailed press conference.

i disagree with ethan i believe that this was a clash of egos and nothing more and maybe that pat used this opportunity to get rid of an old dwade which production was clearly on the decline.the rest is b.s,i believe.b/c why wade would be in the Mediterranean during an important time for him and his franchise.why pat didnt reached him via skype or teleconferencing?like i said this was a clash of egos that served itself to pat and the heat in getting rid of an older player
