no way is a team that has the best record since june 3 is going to lose to a 4-11 guy with a 4.74 era.. it can't happen and it shouldn't happen period...

what would rather have happen? jacque jones getting killed, or the cubs win?

it really seems like you're in favor of the former, man.

I guessing that Jacque gets another start from Lou. To see if he can get something going. I'm being honest when I say Jacque CAN help this team he has produce for most of his career.

2004 - .254avg - .315obp - 24 HR - 80 RBI
2005 - .249avg - .316obp - 23 HR - 73 RBI
2006 - .285avg - .334obp - 27 HR - 81 RBI
2007 - .227avg - .288obp - 2 HR - 20 RBI

Sorry, I'm going to have to disagree with you here.

3 out of the last 4 years he's been dog ****. And this is supposed to be the "prime" of his career.

I don't see how he has produced for most of his career either. He's mediocre at the plate at best. And with his pathetic defense, low baseball IQ, lack of clutch-ness, inability to drive in runs or move runners over. He's junk.

Jacque Jones as a baseball player can be summed up into one word: USELESS.

Well I for one sure damn well hope Jacque Jones has finally found the right swing. He had a good game yesterday. Let's see if he can keep this up and raise his trade value.

USELESS?
I admit he is having an absolutely dreadful year this year. The fans were unfair to him last year without giving him and chance and he still produced. Inability to drive in runs? Way to crush that argument by putting up his RBIs! He is a ballplayer that is used to put "pop" in the line-up and up until this season he has done just that during his career. Up until this year he has done what he was expected to do.

If that's useless then why is he in the major leagues?

Well if the Cubs were to send him to AAA his trade value goes down the toilet.

Taking this year out of the argument. I'm saying he has produced some what in his career and treyzz is saying he hasn't.

Pick a side everyone!

Oh and Treyzz no hard feelings just a little debate. Right?

Because he has no options and the Cubs would be forced to eat his salary and get nothing in return.

What OF that hits near the middle of the order does not drive in 80 runs a year that plays 160 games? Very few.

He's mediocre at the plate & his bad defense and low baseball IQ make him useless.

On a complete separate note, anyone else notice that Neifi Perez just got suspended 25 games for testing positive for a "banned stimulant?"

Where ya at Dusty?!@#
