Pretty sure he wanted to be bought out to go to a playoff time. Ye of little faith shall be rewarded accordingly. If the roster composition shakes out right, I think all would be forgiven. I watched the majority of his games with Boston, and it was wildly impressive how much he settled down and gathered our young guys during his limited PT. I'd welcome him back with open arms, and, after being stuck on another rebuilding team, I think he'd be prime for any great opportunity that presents, even if it is with us.

My stance, ainge/LAC/SAC have exchanged texts on Blake and Gay (not to mention ainge has floated trades to 80% of the league). SAC texts back "no thanks." Within the last 48 hours, Ainge has text back, "No upping the package, it is what it is. Call me when you change your mind." That's it. LAC may sent one half-hearted counter text back, or Blake may kick a pool boy in the nuts and they relent to Ainge's offer. I forget which writer said it, but we know Ainge is like a real life fantasy football player who proposes endless trade variations to his league mates. I love that guy for as annoying as he can be. Sometimes our boys here catch a whiff of Danny's shenanigans, but, like with all of these proposals, 99.6% don't go anywhere.

I believe that the talks are going on, I put the chances at less than 5% of a deal actually getting done. Teams want the nets picks and we don't want to let them go. Both sides are correct in that aspect and that's why we're rolling with what we have. Yabs and Zizic will be here next year along with Giles to make a much improved front court from this years club. As constructed this team can compete for the 2 seed while likely ending up 3rd or 4th and having home court advantage. ECF should be the goal and hopefully adding another max guy and top 5 pick to the current squad can push those goals even higher

I'll take it, though, as I said in a post prior to reading this one, my stance is I believe these rumors are the types of talk that Danny is involved in all the time, with 99.6% of them fizzling out.
