I could see barnes, DDR, and Jordan riding the pine a lot, there are always 3 guys at the end of team usas bench that ride the pine. It can't be lowry because he's the only friggin back up pg on the team. Jimmy Buckets, Draymond, Lowry, and Paul George will all be major contributors off the bench, those are some elite players on the bench... I mean wouldn't butler or draymond be the best player on any other team in the tourney?

To get back on the point, I'd assume

Kyrie - George - Durant - Anthony - Green
Lowry - Thompson - Butler - Cousins
Barnes - DeRozan - Jordan
...

I know I'm a bit late on this, but how in the HELL is Harrison Damn Barnes on team USA? I would have taken ancient Kobe over him.

I wish the best for Harrison but it's true, he has been fed with a silver spoon in this league since day 1. Doubt he gets any meaningful minutes though.

I would honestly start Lowry. There's plenty of offense in the lineup.

Harrison Barnes will be the towel boy and the cheerleader for TeamUSA.

What they usually try to do is starting with an offensive Lineup and as the opponents best players get fatigued, they plug in a few defensive terrors and win the game in the 2nd Quarter.

I guess they start with something like

Kyrie / Klay / KD / Melo / DMC

but, Lowry / Butler / PG / Green / DeAndre will be the Lineup destroying the opponents in the second.

If they can't create a huge gap in the 2nd they plug the shooters back in and may go small.
Barnes played before and is there just for spot up minutes as small ball 4. Him and DeRozan seem like redundant players and maybe 2 more playmaking guards would've been the better choice, but they're Team USA so who cares.

George is not better than Durant at anything.

Paul George is a better man to man defender than KD.

Fair enough but that's where it ends. Even then Durant showed In the playoffs he is a good defender so the gap isn't huge.

I think Melo will get the start as the ceremonial team leader. I also think Boogie will likely start. Though I would run:

Draymond
KD
George
Klay
Kyrie

Once the opponents bigs start to fatigue from chasing that lineup, bring Boogie in to pound on them more.

He is a better ball handler and to me a better 3 pt shooter. Plus, he does not seem to be the chocker durant is.

I think if George improves a bit next year the gap between the two Will not be that big.

George is really a wonderfull all around player.
I am a Pacers fan but I would not trade durant for George straight up.
