Embarrassing response to the Open Cup Final heartbreaker with a 1-3 loss to Toronto over the weekend. Off this week and then face the Red Bulls in Jersey and wrap up the 2015 season at home Oct 25 vs Orlando. Anyone know if Kaka will be playing? Might have to buy tix.

PHILADELPHIA UNION vs. ORLANDO CITY
PPL Park, Chester, Pa.
October 25, 2015 (WEEK 34, MLS Game #335)
5 p.m. ET (MLS LIVE)

Orlando City SC still have one final chance to claim a berth in the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs in their inaugural Major League Soccer season, when they meet Philadelphia Union as part of Decision Day at PPL Park on Sunday afternoon. Orlando City must defeat Union by a huge margin – and hope the New England Revolution lose to another expansion side in New York City FC – if they are to clinch sixth place in the Eastern Conference and final postseason spot. OCSC is coming off a 2-1 home win against NYCFC to stay alive last weekend, while Union, already eliminated from playoff consideration, are coming off a 4-1 defeat at the New York Red Bulls last week.

Finished the season off with a 1-0 win over Orlando on a Le Toux penalty towards the end of the first half. I think we spoiled their playoff hopes so there's a victory in that.

That's 10-7-17 final record for 2015. Hopefully we can improve next season and punch a playoff ticket.

Genuinely excited about the Earnie Stewart era, massive upgrade over Nik Sak by all accounts.

Yes. Hopefully the union can take a step forward this year.

Unfortunately for Union fans I think it's going to be a slow turn around.

I'll be keeping my eye on Maurice Edu though. Hopefully he has a good season.

Not expecting a playoff appearance in 2016, but for any Philly fans who've never been to a Union game, give it a try. The games are almost always intense and the stadium is beautiful. I'm definitely going to make it out to some more games this season, especially when the weather gets warm.

Yup, good team or not it's always fun to get out and watch some exciting soccer in a great stadium.

Plus MLS is filled with stars, so that helps.

Not could for Philly, and not good for Edu who is still trying to get his career back on track.

Going to be a tough game for the Union tonight. The Crew are a very good team.

great and impressive win today. They left a lot on the field, and still won 3-0.

Blake has been an absolute STUD.

What a game last night! I wish I had bought tickets to attend instead of getting seats for last Wednesday's friendly against Crystal Palace, which also ended in a draw.

But great effort from our boys to come back from a 0-2 defecit at halftime and get the point. Also kept NYRB from jumping us in the standings. Pontius has been incredible this season and really led the charge. We now sit 3 points behind NYCFC for first in the East.

We face a tough Montreal side next Saturday (Drogba!) but first have a US Open Cup quarterfinals match-up with the Revs this Wednesday.

MLS Decision Day

Today for the first time in MLS history all 20 teams will take the field at exactly the same time in the final matchday of the regular season (4 pm ET). It's what will make Decision Day so special.

So Andre Blake is most likely going to play in Europe, for Genk if reports are accurate.

Can't say that I blame him, he deserves a chance to try and further his career. Such is the problem of MLS though, the only people that genuinely want to play here are stars who are past their prime and still enjoy making millions of dollars.

That is slowly changing as MLS raises their salary cap. Over the next few years I think you'll see an influx of younger stars.

The older name recognition has helped MLS stand out, but it's time to focus on bringing in younger players and paying them enough to want to stay.
