I think they should improve quite a bit, going from fringe NBA talent to George Hill at PG should be a big help.
Top five improving teams from last year to next?
Here's my list:
GS
Utah
Boston
Minny
Phoenix (total homer/wishful thinking pick there)
They have 0 shot at the finals. But I can definitely see them getting to the 2nd round & winning 50 games.
IMO, it'll look like - 1GSW vs 4Utah & 3SAS vs 2LAC in the 2nd round.
Top 5 improves teams are
Boston (7+ W's) - Shouldn't be worse than 53-29. It looks awesome & I think that's borderline pessimistic. Can def see 55 wins.
Philly (+16 W's) - couple play makers will do them wonders. Esp if they trade Okafor or Noel for a guard. Progress!
Utah (+10 W's) - 50 win season for them. take a 4 5 seed & get to the semi's. I'd like to see them vs GSW.
Minny (+12 W's) - Finish .500 & an 8th seed. Lavine takes a step & Dunn is a future star. Sick team.
Indy (+8 W's) - They get home court. Turner proves to be a big steal & Paul George is MVP candidate. I like them.
Honorable Mention - New Orleans (+12-15 W's) .. Think they get back into the playoffs. The made moves they made were not big names, but will fit Gentry. 3 & D, athletic players, playing who know their role. Evans' knee is iffy still, but their starters missed an average of 29 games EACH last year. They won't be great, but they'll be a low playoff seed.
