Fine player who gives us some swagger. When we made the deal I thought we had sent a pick for a headache. Stan, I'm sorry!
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

The biggest bargain on the team and tbh the guy who should start at PF.

Bring Tobias off the bench and watch him destroy people!

Mook deserves a massive extension as soon as he's eligible

I love Marcus. I honestly almost feel bad for him for how much of a bargain his contract is compared to what most players got this year. We're very lucky to have him and his contract. Absolute steal.

I don't know what it is with Marcus but it seems like every time I see him play he looks like crap. Don't get me wrong--I know the numbers don't show him to be a crap player. I just must have bad luck or something because I'd certainly love to see him win me over.

I'll openly admit I was not a fan of Marcus Morris in the first couple months he was with us. I thought he was inconsistent (his shooting numbers were awful early on!) and didn't like a lot of his on court and off court behavior. I also didn't think he was a good defensive player.

These opinions have dissipated for the most part. I still wish he was more consistent offensively, but he's undeniably great value for what we're paying.

It feels strange to realize that Morris is probably the most replaceable and movable player in the rotation. This year was the first time he's ever been a full-time starter. the first time he's broken 30 minutes a game (his previous high was 25 and now he's at 36). It was his first opportunity to *prove himself*, and he did, but his contract is so almost too reasonable and he is almost too old (at 27 this year), relatively.
There's almost nobody he can't score on and nobody he can't defend at his position.
I think we'd view him differently if we didn't have Stanley Johnson, the heir apparent, on the roster. Or if Harris wasn't a tad younger with seemingly more potential. Or if we were playing him next to a traditional PF (or ****, slide him over next to a traditional SF).
Whatever the reason, we do seem to undervalue and underappreciate him. Nonetheless, he's a solid talent and I'm rooting for him and we're lucky to have him in many ways.

I appreciate Marcus so much as a player, that I would trade for Markieff just to appease Marcus. And I don't think thats a great idea.

Agree! And then let the Twins and Ish pick their running mates to round out the bench

Having a group that actually wants to play well for each other is the hardest part...can't wait to see IF Ish can make an impact with Mook

Reminds me of Chauncey somehow (obviously completely different, but, anyone else see it?)... And Rasheed. Love him.

I appreciate his attitude, but his shot selection still makes me puke.
You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
