Restricted free agent Miles Plumlee and the Bucks have come to terms on a four-year, $52 million deal, agent Mark Bartelstein tells ESPN.

Cody should send Milwaukee a thank you note. Worse than the Mozgov signing?

Nah, Plumlee still has a little bit of upside. I kinda thought he'd get 8 figures annually, but from a team trying to lure away a RFA. But at this point? If he hasn't signed an offer sheet by this point I see no justification on giving him THIS much.

And yeah, this is now the floor for Cody.

Correct - Miles is the oldest (played for PHX and now MIL, not sure if anywhere before that), Mason is the most talented and had the best college career (drafted by Brooklyn, now plays for POR), and Marshall is the youngest (went undrafted this year, got a guaranteed deal with NYK).

Is that the bad plumlee, the meh plumlee, or the awful plumlee?

Meh Plumlee.

Mason is better, though Miles has had moments and is a better fit for them than Monroe.

Think Miles was drafted by Indy.

I'll forever remember Miles fondly for this moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sK3dbQcReg

That 82-50 beatdown was cathartic.

I think that takes the cake for worst contract. I at least knew who Solomon Hill was vaguely, but I had no idea Miles Plumlee was still in the league

Still think Hill was worse, at least Plumlee made it to restricted free agency. Hill's option was declined a la Hairston.

In context easily one of the worst contracts considering in the past 12 months the Bucks have committed $150 million to Monroe, Plumlee, and Henson. Not a single 1 is clearly starter quality and worse, their cool $150 does nothing to address their front court spacing issues. Unless, of course, Teletovic gets C run which brings their tab to $180 million.

It's like they're trolling Giannis and Parker.

Is Larry bird a complete moron? What was Solomon hill option like $2 million? Why wouldn't you pick it up and flip him for assets

Maybe you know this, but with rookies you have to decide on their option a year in advance. So around this time last year they declined his option for 2016.

I've read he showed up overweight and rather disinterested, so declining the option was apparently a motivational tool.

He responded with averages of 4 points (on 45% shooting), 1 assist, 3 rebounds; all about half the previous year.

Naturally that makes him worth $50M.

Oh yeah I see. I thought i read he had his option declined in exit interviews... they must have meant in the year prior.

Still a giant miscalculation on birds part ouch. I guess it kinda lit a fire under him his past year but his numbers aren't really that much better. What a ridiculous signing on the Pelicans part though good grief

The @hornets Cody Zeller had to pull out of participation with the USA Select team this week due to a sore right knee. Story up shortly.

I have ZERO confidence in the team's medical staff or trainers.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Meh, he hurt his knee in the playoffs and maybe he tweaked it or something or was worried that it didn't feel strong enough yet. A little early to jump to say his knee will be a problem long term.

The bigger concern is probably his right shoulder, because he's messed that up a few times now.

Also, anyone remember this?

That was sort of bizarre. Between that and Frank's chest air issue, we've had some strange medical problems on this team.

this is the 3rd time he has hurt his knee this year

1st time in march when he bruised it (left knee)
2nd time in the playoffs (right knee)
and now this is the 3rd time. (right knee)

any knee injuries are a big deal when you are 7 feet tall and rely on your athletic ability a lot.
