Pacer Fans Get Together

Some Indiana Pacer fans in and around central Indiana have been getting together a couple times a year to talk Pacer basketball and share in a pizza or two. We usually get around 15 people, a good solid group of die hard fans.

Our next gathering will be Saturday, July 30th.

Consider this your invitation.

Here's the basic info......

1. Any and all are welcome to attend.

2. We chip in $10 each for the pizza and soda. There will be adult beverages available but you'll need to cover those.

3. We'll be around between 6:00 and 11:00 but you can come late or leave early.... your call.

If you think you might like to join us please let me know..... I'll need to warn the management how large a group we might have.

Speaking of pizza and Pacers, three of us with mini or blue half season tickets can often be found at Pearl Street Pizza before the games.

Though we do not have an exclusive Pacers fan gathering from where I live, I have a group who meets almost every week to watch the games and talk about the NBA in general including fantasy basketball and the draft. It's an assorted crowd, as we cheer for different teams, and they refer to me for anything Pacers-related.

And by the way, though I hate to label them as bandwagoners, a lot of people are jumping onto the Pacers bandwagon since we've acquired Teague and Young. A bunch of them ex-Thunder fans. A portion of them WERE die-hard Heat fans too at the time of the big three. lol

Just a little update.

Currently expecting a group of around 20, give or take.

Nice to see Wizop might stop by but I was real hoping to have a little larger group representing Real GM. You don't really need to let me know if you'll stop by.... surprise last minute drop in's are always the best!

Most of the regulars tend to get there early, so I would say by 7 just about everyone should be there.

A few might leave before 11 but in the past we've been known to sometimes stand out in the parking lot and talk for several more hours. That's why I mentioned going to Steak n Shake after 11.

Just so you're aware. This is generally a round table type discussion where everyone voices their opinion on a certain subject before we move onto another topic.

I went but had to leave early to babysit granddaughter. I didn't recognize most handles which I assume meant they were Pacers digest regulars and I don't participate there. Lots of vogel support. That's understandable but I think it's premature to knock McMillan.
