I have no idea what this means. I dont own the team nor did I lose them. I dont get emotionally involved with tv sports entertainment. Nothing about my life is affected by any team winning or losing or moving.

Then why tell fans of other teams how to feel about their teams when you don't even get emotionally involved with your own team? Wow. It doesn't take 17 years to rebuild a team like you are suggesting. Doomsday 1 was dismantled after the 1974 season. We retooled, and made 3 of the next 4 Super Bowls with doomsday II. You have no idea what you are talking about. Your a bone head and I will not engage in any more banter with a person with a mind of a 11 year old. By the way, I wouldn't give Culter or Dilfer a frigging mop job.

I didnt say anything about rebuilding. I said they werent getting back to a super bowl in a long time.

its been 17 years and they havent gotten back to any SB.So far, I'm right.

thank you for response. I thought this place would be more active. Its designed well from what I see.
Maybe too spread out?

BJJ is just a crabby old timer. Anything that wasn't the 70s Cowboys isn't worth a crap and nobody who doesn't think they were the greatest team in history is some dumb kid who has never seen a football game.
That mop job Trent Dilfer won us a Super Bowl with the help the historically greatest defense ever that would have made Tom Landry drool. Trust me, because Tom Landry knows great defense after getting beat repeatedly by the Steel Curtain.

But on a positive note, Forbes just released the fact that my Cowboys are worth over 4 billion now. The #1 sports franchise in the world. I guess we are still America's team despite our last 20 years of Jerry hell. Just think how much more we would be worth if we didn't stink so bad the past 17 years.

I think it's really cool that Jerry took it upon himself to foot the bill for the stadium and that as an owner, has the sense to realize that by owning the stadium, that is value added to your franchise. The Cowboys can attribute what? 1 or 2 billion of their value just on that.

It just pisses you off doesn't it, that my sucky Cowboys have stunk so bad the past 17 years and our franchise is still probably double that of your Ravens. Not sure if its sour grapes or your just plain grumpy.

You have no idea do you. Have you been keeping tabs on the Cowboys the past 10 years? Do you understand the culture that Jerry has created? There's a reason why we call it salary cap hell we were in for years despite having as much talent as most teams in the league for many of these past years. There's a huge frustration that sets in when year after year when you constantly over pay so many so-called superstars like Ware that don't deliver for instance. On top of that when you over pay, you can't add decent depth and when you get a lot of injuries, your screwed. And I'm not complaining, but any true objective fan of football can honestly say, that we have had more than our share of bad luck when it comes to injuries, especially to key players over the last decade for sure. And then a bigger frustration piles on past frustrations when you do finally get out of salary cap hell, our Gm continues to take high risk, red flag players just when you think things are about to turn things around and start to get over the mediocure train ride.
And it goes back even further than that young man. Not only has Jerry created his play pen culture we have seen the past 7 years, but go back farther. Look what happened when Jerry took over Gm duties. Quincy Carter, gave up 2 first round picks to Detriot for Roy Williams. I could go on and on here on a few more of his moves, but the point I'm trying to make is most of Jerry's past moves have set us back many years despite the many advantages we have as an organization. You can call 9 playoff appearances in 17 successful, but COWBOY NATION WILL DISAGREE WITH YOU. I call it a damn embarrassment, its shameful and I sure as hell don't call it successful. It sucks, it stinks and I really have nothing to say to you regarding this issue again. Before you rip me again on my team, you might want to learn a bit more about their situation before telling me or any other Cowboy fan how we should FEEL about our team. That's probably one of the reasons why you lost your Rams for 20 years. Lets see how long you fans show up to games going 8-8 most of the time and barely making the playoffs 9 times in 20 years only to get sent home after the wild card round in almost all of them. If this makes me a dolt, so be it.

Are you drunk? Since the Ravens have been in the league, they've won about as many Super Bowls as the Cowboys have won playoff games. They've drafted and retired no fewer than 3 Hall of Famers to your zero (well, maybe Romo and Whitten but probably not). The Ravens have no claim to the Browns past, so it's useless to compare anything that happened before 1996. I guess if you want to compare first 20 years of existence, the Ravens have 2 SB wins in their first 20 years, just like the Cowboys had after their first 20. Then it's a wash. Our franchise is also set up better for the immediate future with a stable owner, a proven SB champion head coach-though I actually like Garrett well enough and our franchise QB is younger and turns into superman in the postseason.

Nice try. I don't drink. But thank you for helping me make my point. And if you have followed the postings in this thread, my beef is not with you. And yes, thanks to Jerry Jones, your organization is on much more solid ground going forward.

Steelers where a all around better team. If anything it was a bit of bad timing like we had to face in the late 60's when we were up and coming and had to deal with the packers and took both NFL championship games down to the last minute in both of them. We did a complete over haul and rebuild after the 1974 season. Bob Hayes, Bob Lilly, Chuck Howley, Walt Garrison, George Andre, Cornell Green, Dave Manders, Mike Ditka, Dan Reeves, Calvin Hill, etc, all gone, retirement, etc,. And yet we where the first wild card team to make a Super Bowl, covered the spread and came up short to the team of the decade. So what, it happens. But that was success and a great year. When you go to enough Super Bowls you lose from time to time. Ask Denver and New England. Are you trying to say because we lost 3 of the 8 super bowls we attended that we stink and suck or I'm upset we lost a couple times to the Steelers? I think just about everyone is a bit disappointed when their team loses a Super Bowl. But looking back now, it was nice and always a good feeling that we were always their or very close to it and knocking on the door. Show me where I have posted that the Cowboys are the greatest football team in the NFL. I'm sure many objective true football fans do consider us one of the best franchises in the NFl. Maybe we are, I'd like to think so by our past, rich history. I will go out on the limb a bit and have said on a few occasions that our 20 year stretch of never have a losing season from 1966-1985 will be extremely hard to beat by anyone in today's football culture. You really don't need to get in your little digs and pop shots. They don't both me at all. Anyone who knows me and has followed my postings over the last 4 years knows that I rip MY OWN TEAM in these forums 1000 times more than the haters and trolls. And I probably will rip them till Jerry Jones is gone. So yes, I speak my mind and sometimes wear my emotions on my sleve, but I do call it like I see it. I'd like to see more true fans of all teams be more objective when it comes to their teams instead of just talking SMACK all the time while dishing out needless pop shots just because they have a difference of opinion or just can't get over the fact they hate your team no matter what. Maybe someday when Jerry Jones is gone we can be as perfect again as the Ravens have been the past 20 years. Hell, we may even get lucky and find an aquitted hall of fame murdering LB like Ray Lewis and become the cream of the crop in the NFL again.

Nah dude. I'm was just yanking your chain a little. It's cool. It actually aggravates the hell out of me when some sports guys start talking like a team or player was a complete failure because they got to a championship game and lost.

Sort of like saying Dan Marino sucked because he never won a super bowl.
