I'd be okay with trading the Brooklyn 18 and pieces for a rental of Westbrook. That pick for Griffin? No. But for Westbrook, a potential league MVP, that's absolutely a gamble I'd take.

Seeing a top 5 player in the league, in green, with a chance to potentially meet the Warriors and his now enemy KD in the Finals would be a dream scenario for not only us, but the league in general.

To any conspiracy theorists who thought Lebron and the Cavs or Curry and the Warriors got generous calls this post-season, I'd certainly think the NBA would do whatever it takes to get that Celtics-Warriors matchup in the Finals. It would be a ratings bonanza!

I could care less if Westbrook bolts if we get that kind of season out of him, and if that type of season happens, why would he even leave?

Get Westbrook to Boston Danny!

You can report this if you want, I don't really care. But is there a reason you have to be such a dick in every single thread? All you post is dumping on anything and everything. You walk the line so you don't get reported, but I can tell you that every Mod on the site (and a good deal of other posters) is tired of it.

I'm not saying you need to be positive, but why be a jerk in every thread? There is literally no reason for it. If you don't like what is posted, don't post. You must have missed the golden rule of "If you don't have anything nice to say...". I realize I'm violating it myself by responding, but I've had enough.

Again, please report the post if you want. Go to Howard if you want. I don't care at this point. I'm just tired of your act and dumping on everything. And yes I mean everything.

I'd be bitter too if I hated on Paul Pierce for years and actually thought Jared Sullinger could lose the weight last year.

Always easier to sign a guy you have in already and have Bird rights on than to get a FA. Two major FAs (Horford and Durant) changed teams this year and both were somewhat of an upset that they did. You always want to have a guy and re-sign him vs trying to get him later.

And having them now makes the Celtics far more likely to contend this year and then next year and beyond as well. Why not go after it when you can?

I'm ok giving up Jae or a BK pick for Griffin. Both would be ripping us off.

BKN pick for me. I love Jae, he is the heart and soul of this team.

Jae is my favorite player on the team and I love him off court as well.

If it's between him and either Brooklyn pick, I am shipping his ass the **** out.

I don't mind trading the brooklyn picks for stars, but it's hard to justify trading them for one-year rentals with no commitment.

Oh please, don't be melodramatic. I've never reported anyone and never will. Fire away. But have I mischaracterized the gist of your most recent post following the signings of GG and Zeller (both of which, by the way, I thought were perfectly fine low risk moves)?

Your posts about these rumors are only as good as your sources, and it seems to me that your sources have been feeding us a bunch of equivocal mush.

Much like everyone else in your life, which is the only reason I can imagine someone could be such a bitter dick all the time, I'm done with you and your negative ridiculousness.

So if someone posts a rumor, I can only comment when I believe the rumor is true, but not when I don't think it is-- or in this case when I think it is so vague as to be virtually meaningless?

Smitty731 wrote:No idea to be honest. Anything I would put out there would be my opinion only. If that is what you want I think it is either in the order you have listed or swap Brown and 17 BRK.

I do know that many around the league don't think the 18 BRK pick has nearly as much value as most around here do. A lot of teams think BRK will be ok (not good, but not horrible) this year. And they think in 2017-2018 with a TON of cap space, they could jump up big time. And a few other East teams might be on downswings at that point as well.

I talked with a lot of people who said now is the time to trade the 2018 BRK pick. And I talked with slightly less who said that the 2017 BRK pick might not have the locked in value that some think it does either.

Nets roster right now:

PG: Jeremy Lin, Greivis Vasquez
SG: Bojan Bogdanovic, Randy Foye, Caris LeVert, Isaiah Whitehead, Joe Harris
SF: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Sean Kilpatrick
PF: Luis Scola, Trevor Booker, Anthony Bennett, Chris McCullough
C: Brook Lopez, Justin Hamilton

They are screwed lol. Cap room won't likely help them much next year, either.

I get why other teams would want Westbrook, but why on earth would we?

He is best when allowed to do whatever the hell he wants, which goes against everything we have going on.

Also, if we have to rely on Pierce for anything on court related this team is screwed, he isn't a good player anymore
