The third act was rough but I was in before that. I'm a comic book fanatic, so getting to see Dark Knight Returns armor Batman put a beating on Superman was unreal. The movie has its flaws, but it's not 30% on Rotten Tomatoes bad. I was worried by Eisenberg's portrayal and Doomsday in the trailers and went in last night expecting it to be as bad as the reviews were suggesting, but I've been rather "meh" on comic movies critics raved about like Deadpool and Winter Soldier(LOVE Cap 1, though).

Sounds interesting, I will give it a watch. That being said, I'm terrified about the way they portrayed us.

Just finished the series finale of Hell on Wheels. Sad not to have any more Cullen Bohannon to watch.

Started the new Netflix show Stranger Things this weekend. It a show set in 1983 and is a cross between Twin Peaks, ET and Goonies. So far, so good.

Also rewatching my favorite show of all-time this summer, Spartacus. Just finished season 3 with only season 4 to go. It's even better the 2nd time around.

The new show on HBO, The Night Of, is really compelling. Gives me anxiety watching it, so they must be doing something right.

On the recommendation of some friends from work I broke down at watched season 1 of Ballers last week. It is what it is, low maintenance entertainment with eye candy, cliche storylines and bad acting.

Vice Principals series premier was about what should be expected, basically Kenny Powers part 2. It will have to do for boring Sundays in August.

NBA, NFL and Premier League need to start ASAP so I can have some sports to watch.

Also in need of a new video game to fill the boring summer months. I need a break from Fallout 4 after playing for about 4 months.

I just re-watched season two of Fargo. I somehow missed all the Albert Camus references the first time through.

The Night Of on HBO has been wonderful so far, have not seen last nights episode yet.

Ballets and Vice Principals...ehhhh....it's something that I don't have to concentrate my brain cells to watch.

Just finished up Bosch on Amazon Prime which is really good. I enjoyed both seasons.

I finally caught up on The Americans. Really really enjoying it. If Keri Russell happens to read this board..."Hi"

Mr. Robot is such perfection. Rami Malek and Christian Slater work so well together.

Suits is back on and it's a little weird right now but interested to see where it goes.

I love Suits but fell behind back in the day and don't know how to catch up. Not really willing to buy the full seasons.

If you have Amazon Prime I believe you can watch all the episodes for free except for the season that just started.

Not sure of any other way to stream it from a credible site outside of that.

I was a Lost junkie when it was on. Went on message boards after every episode and read through pages and pages of discussions in regards to the numerous easter eggs the creators left for us. Have seen the first three seasons like four times, the fourth season three times and the last two twice. It probably is my favorite TV series as far as a personal connection is concerned. Like, I consider The Wire to be the best one and I absolutely love it but the nostalgia about Lost just means a bit more.

That being said, I also don't remember almost anything about season 5 and season 6 and the way certain storylines evolved.

Who are your favorite characters? I was always a Team Locke guy. Really liked Sawyer and Mr. Eko as well. Juliet was hot and awesome.

Hurley / Hugo is absolutely my favorite. Eko was great too, but he wasn't in the show long enough to be a favorite for me. I actually really like Sayid, he adds an interesting dimension to the show.

I remember from when I watched it the first time that I felt like the show went off the rails in Seasons 5 and 6. I'm a few episodes into Season 5 and I kind of still feel that way, but I'm trying to pay extra close attention to how the plot unfolds to see if maybe I'm not being fair with it. There was just such clear direction in the first few seasons, and later on it seems like they are really struggling with finding a purpose for the plot and doing a relatively poor job explaining why certain events take place / need to take place.

I think Breaking Bad is far and away my favorite show of all time (will probably rewatch that next), but Lost has a special place for me just because it is such a unique way for a show to unfold and I really like the feel of the show. I do remember that my roommate in college was really into it and watched all the episodes live in our room, but I was so put off by the concept of a show where people are just stuck on an island that I didn't believe it was worth watching. Shows how much I know.

fatlever has me seriously considering watching Spartacus, never seen that one.

Spoilers about Eko for those who don't want Lost spoiled for them:

Spoiler:
It's a shame about Eko. I think his parents got killed in real life so he asked to be let off the show just as the writers had big ideas planned for his character in the future. That's why his character was killed off so randomly.

Good point about Sayid. I always liked him from the perspective that he was a reliable presence for the people on the island. If I were there, I'd totally want Sayid and Eko on my side.

I think the fact that it went off the rails is pretty clear. It starts happening during Season 3, imo, which could have been the year affected by the writers' strike. The feeling I had was that they had no idea what to do once they were captured by the Others. Just seven episodes of Sawyer and Kate, Jack trapped, getting out for a hot 20 seconds and then being captured before creating their next escape plan.

As for the overall arch of the show, the situation with the producers created chaos. I don't remember the specifics and the surnames but wasn't there something along the lines of someone leaving the show mid-way the first season and the new guys having to learn on the fly. They started off quite well but eventually they had written themselves into places out of which it was impossible to get out.

God... I used to know all of this stuff by heart. I have forgotten so much about the show.

Didn't know that about Eko, but that makes a ton of sense. I actually really, really liked that character so it was a major WTF moment when his time on the show ended. Makes more sense now.

Winona Ryder doesn't some kind of award for her performances in Stranger Things. She's on FIRE!!! I've watched the first 5 episodes so far, 3 more to go.

I've about given up on Wayward Pines. I've been struggling thru season 2 so far. Only made it thru the first 3 or 4.
