Lebron, Wade and Bosh all wanted 5 year deals for themselves... they all opt- out.. as a result. Miami's good faith it cost a total of 4 First round picks ( role players or other trades ). LeDouche sabotaged his azz back to ChiTLand. Bosh got his max ( fondle by Mark Cuban of all people)and Wade re-upped for less $ so to save face with "HeatNation" lol, so called Lifer. Wade wants deep throat & reach around when he knew his LeBootyPartner was going to turdville. Wade sees everyone cashed in so now he wants a reach around too... - welcome back to Chicago enjoy your ex-wife. I hope ur new wife love that drama. Bottom line none of those 3 honored their contracts when signed in 2010 and put themselves above the team.

Why bother making us more depressed?

Grades ranged from C- to a straight A.
Expected wins next season from 35 to 43.

Despite being the low end on wins next year, I personally liked how Miami handled their offseason very much, and have it ranked higher than the rest of their division (which will be posted through this week).

Regardless of how pissed out fans are at our off season, I think we recovered well. Not because of the signings but solidifying a core that will keep the Heat contending for 5 more years. We actually lucked up into last season and by luck got as far as we did ( No one expected Deng to excel after the alstar game; The rise of Richardson; Hassan a beast off the bench, the signing of Joe). In the end our luck just ran out.

Now we have pieces that can play and make our team very promising for years to come. I am sure dragic or Roberts will be traded, and I see promise in reed, ellington, weber. I didn't want KD to be honest he something about his character wasn't right with me. But I am a big picture guy.

Feel free not to talk about it, because you are wrong and spreading misinformation. The 4 draft picks Miami lost was from the original sign and trades for Lebron and Bosh when they first came here in 2010, and it was so we could give both of them a 6th year on their contract. Wade had nothing to do with that.

In 2014 all 3 opted out. Lebron opting out cost us Lebron. Bosh opting out cost us a max contract. Wade opting out saved the Heat money and allowed us to sign Deng.

So on Wade's behalf ... you're welcome!

2) That doesn't make any sense when we had Wade's bird rights until this offseason. How did Pat force him into anything? Takes two to tango. What was Wade's market value in 2014? 2015? Practically nothing but minimum to mid level exceptions to other teams in 2014. He was worth $12+ million to us that offseason and notice how is only other suitor was the Bulls too. They wasn't going to sign Wade until their other top options signed and then see if Wade wanted to hop on that for low salary. Don't blame Riley for Wade's market value when Dwyane has to actually build that himself.

As was proven this offseason, it was always a myth that there was no market for Wade. The only thing restricting his market was his unwillingness to move. If you paid attention right up until the end, most GMs simply didn't believe that he was serious about leaving.

The Bulls came up every time he became a free agent for obvious reasons. That's where he's from, and that's the only place he'd actually consider leaving here for. As you can see, there was more money available elsewhere, and he chose to go to Chicago anyway.

I'm not sure why you're bringing up Wade's market value. His market value was $50 mil/2 years, and the Heat wouldn't get anywhere near it.

3) Miami's final offer was for $21.5 million, that's all they COULD offer after no longer having Dwyane's bird rights. They definitely wasn't going to attach anymore picks, Justise, or Josh to anybody to move a contract and I wouldn't have either.

I'm amazed how that "final offer" keeps growing the more time passes. The Heat offered ~ $40 mil/2 years ($19.6 mil + $20.4 mil).

People need to quit acting like Pat Riley was blindsided by the 2016 offseason. He knew it was coming. It was on his calendar. He planned for it. He had plans to pay who he wanted to pay, and he did. He had no intentions of paying Wade. That is why there wasn't even $20 mil in cap space available to keep Wade at the same salary as last season. The money wasn't there because Pat made sure it wasn't there ... even signing Briante Weber in April.

In order to offer Wade $19.6 mil, he would have had to cut Weber. WTF sense did it make to offer Weber any amount of guaranteed money while trying to force Wade into a pay cut?

After paying Whiteside, there was only $18.9 mil available for Wade. Every dime above that meant letting players go. That is what Pat Riley budgeted for. That was not a mistake. That was not due to unforeseen circumstances. That is the way he wanted it. He was going to force Wade into another pay cut just like he did last season, and the season before that.

Quit making excuses for Pat Riley's behavior.
