6 mil to rock the bench sweats tho, sics Mil!?!!

Mcgruber could have done that and a lot more deserving and now he is probably out of a job.

Spo is not afraid to bench $6mil men (see Miller, McRoberts, etc.). :)

I don't think $6mil is that bad for a 4th guard tho. Plus, it doesn't hurt to overpay a bit for one year, so you don't have to give extra years.

I feel like JRich is a better fit starting next to Dragic. More defensive versatility and chit.

But who knows, maybe Tyler will start. That would be cool too.

Idc, either Tyler or Rich, won't tolerate much else. Hell I rather start Dragic/Tyler/Rich/Winslow/Whiteside and let the cards fall where they may before giving Ellington or Waiters any keys

I would be down for that line-up :)

I will go on strike against watching Waiters play if he ends up blocking Uncle from the roster   . Whenever he checks in, I'll change the channel to whatever team Beno is playing on. Will probably go post on that team's board too ala Marako.

I guess but I'd rather see somebody like Beno/Weber/Mcgruder come up then to give him a free ride. Let's hope that's the case tho

Outside getting bit by chit mosquitoes and angrily posting in my garbage bag sweats. Rest will not be easy today, Chalms

You give 6 Mil$ to a vet you don't plan to play in your regular rotation?

But what does that mean?

We didn't sign Waiters to trade him, right?
Ellington has no value, and again..why sign him if you want to trade him right away?

Are we trading TJ? Rich? Winslow They're supposed to be our young core. Why would we trade players we like in order to clear minutes for players we don't like and that have no history here?

No, they won't trade him.

use them as trade fillers

Are we trading TJ? Rich? Winslow
Probably. I don't know, I'm so confused :nonono: . Any fake-trade ideas?

Any minute you give to Waiters/Ellington = a minute you took away from TJ/Rich/Winslow - all desperately need minutes to keep growing. In addition it will cost us Weber/Mcgruber - who might have actually been good assets for us.

Waiters and Ellington = If they play well (unlikely) will leave to whatever scrub org that will overpay them next year (Waiters) or the year after (Ellington). If they suck, you're stuck with them.

So you're basically mortgaging our future for players that will not make any positive impact for us going forward, in a year that we desperately need to use for building. And we still only have 2 players capable of playing Center.

This is the first time I'm starting to doubt Riley's competence. They're no logical explanation for the horribleness of these moves. It makes no sense.

Befuddling, but true. It's either they're up to something or very incompetent... choose not to believe the latter. I have a feeling some of our young guys + a bulk of the scrubs will be on the table for a disgruntle star to match Dragic/Whiteside/*Bosh, and Tyler too I guess with the Booty on that contract.

Or could be Dragic, idk, i go to sleep now.

RexBoyWonder wrote:We've got to be tanking. There's no other way to explain getting Waiters over an uncle Beno. The thing I cant' get over is - how the hell are we giving minutes to the young players we should really be developing?

I think we all agree these players HAVE TO get at least 32 minutes each :

Dragic
J-Rich
TJ
Winslow

Then you just gave Ellington 6 Mil$ (to never play? makes no sense), and Waiters would not have signed if he thought he'll never get minutes.

It just doesn't add up.
Even if Weber and Mcgruber never ever get any minutes (which they should in a developing year) - it still doesn't make sense.

PG : Dragic-34 / TJ-14 / Weber-0

SF : Justise-34 / D.Williams or J.Johnson or Babbit - 14 minutes

SG : J-Rich-32 / TJ-16/ Whoever left - 0 minutes

THAT'S IT. There's ZERO minutes available for Ellington and Waiters, if you give Rich and TJ 32 minutes each. WHICH IS A MUST.

What the hell are we doing?

Perhaps to round off the off-season we're trading Winslow and Jrich for a sniff at Blake Griffin's jockstrap.

But that would be an horrible move too.

Blake is a free agent next year, If he wants to come here he can come for free. We're not contending this year anyway, makes no sense losing 2 prime assets when you can get him for free in a year. You can't gut our team future for no reason.

I think Riley has realised what a load of garbage he's picked up and panicked with a "name".

As everyone here agrees if we're not challenging then we want to see a lot of JRich, TJ, Winslow and Whiteside (some of you want Dragic too) and then we want Weber, McGruder and Reed, on top of that we have UD and Bosh. We've got no time and no interest in watching rental rubbish like Derrick, Babbs and Waiters.
