If Waiters has a good or even just average season - You can bet he's opting out for next year and some scrub desperate org like nets or Wizards will throw big money at him. Do you really us to throw big money at Dion **** Waiters next year? You want Waiters to be our Whale?

WE don't need any RENTELS this year, we have no business making desperate win now moves, everything should be planned for the long term, next year and beyond. Waiters is the opposite of it. (unless you think adding him is a tanking move, Which I can't rule out).

How many minutes did Gerald Green steal from Rich and pre-injury Tyler last season?

If he's having that great of a season he'll make a nice part of a trade bait package.

His trade value is nothing.

We traded Danny Granger and Shawne Williams...

In the right package, Waiters could absolutely help a deal get done.

Alot actually. So much so that Jrich was in the Dleague and tyler was seeing less time than Chalmers and Green.

Rich wasn't even ready to start the season. And nobody was complaining when Green was tearing it up in the pre-season last year. It was the right call at the time, too many of you with revisionist history.

He had one good season in NY before Melo arrived to take the ball away from him.

This is a clear evidence that wine bath damages brains.

Revisionist history? The question was simple, "did Gerald Green take minutes from Jrich and Tyler early on before Tyler got hurt". And both revisionist and ACTUAL history agree with the facts.

One of the points Rex was making is that there is a chance that Spo pulls another vet over the future(hasleem/Beasley..amare/Hassan..green/Jrich TJ) and that in the end it will be all be for nothing cause we wont keep Waiters if he fails and won't pay him if he succeeds. The only thing we do know is that he'll be taking away developmental minutes.

We added Dragic by trading away two 1st round picks. We don't have any picks to trade.

But we have young assets in the form of J-Rich, TJ and even Winslow if the trade requires it.

They gonna' sell them kids at the peak of the first opportunity, whether or not they get what they want this year... Seems clear which opportunity means more to them.

Nobody is falling for a "breakout" half a season as any value

My fav. part of the ratoinalising is sayin we paid Ellington a cool 6 mil to be situational...so now we have 12 million in suit money between him and McBob. On another note, I will say though, I remember asking who was he who will not be mentioned supposed to take paycuts for? We see the magic signings that we attract. Give up money for Wayne Ellington and Dion Waiters? The phrase "I can do bad by myself" comes to mind

i'm not looking for a basketball savior but for someone that is decent enough to make everyone better and compliment each other.if it takes for the heat to have 2-3 stars so be it.if not then they can be the "detroit pistons" of the south in which we have a billups, tauyshaun and rip hamilton.none of these guys were stars in terms of power and endorsements but they played well together and were fun to watch too

the main issues with bringing star players are ego and money.like we saw in the big 3 era.the heat couldnt surround them with decent role players because they sucked up most of the money that was available.so yea if you want to sell jerseys do a repeat of the past for one or two championships but if you want something that last long then bring people that are talented, athletic and that like and support each other with less ego

Return to Miami Heat
