Hi I must be crazy, but were a ton of posts just deleted from this topic? I got a "this topic may have been deleted" message on the app, refreshed it, and I feel like there are fewer pages now.

Well Jae and Horford are perfect for iso ball they are catch and shoot guys. Thomas and Griffin is more of a concern. I think people need to come to terms with the fact that the game has changed and TD has retired. Do it all wings and speedy guards are the difference makers in the league now. Westbrook is an absolute force put the right cast around him and your going to make the final four for 4 or 5 years.

I am a Kevin Durant guy but this postseason Westbrook completely outplayed his ass.

I love Westbrook and I loved Iverson because of tenacity but I hated playing with guys like them ( who obviously lacked their special talent ). The Celtics have a system where the sum of whole is worth more than parts. Westbrook would destroy that. I don't think Jae and Horford are good enough individualists to make it work. Surround Westbrook with Tristan Thompson types and knockdown shooters and a Pippin type and you can do something. I guess Blake could be the Pippin and you could trade IT and Jae for better shooters.

Westbrook is better than everybody on our roster but he makes IT irrelevant, Jae and Horford diminshed and the cost would be to deplete our roster. And then he will pull a Dwight Howard and go to Lakers which will be a crushing blow to franchise. Then Blake looks at OKC with Oladipo, Adams, Kanter, Sabonis, Brown, Smart, 2 top 10 2017 studs and another in 2018 and decides to be a hero to his hometown a la Lebron.

No thanks.

Westbrook coached the Thunder in the playoffs. It was evident that Westbrook did what he wanted and it never looked like Donovan called plays, especially down the stretch of their collapse games against the Warriors. Brad wouldn't let that happen.

That's another issue, though. Would Westbrook sign on to an extension with a coach who isn't going to let him do what he wants. Westbrook seems very ego driven. I agree that we should just go for Griffin. Don't want the IT-Westbrook tension, the Westbrook ego, or the threat of him leaving if he doesn't get his way from Brad throughout the year.

So with the latest Vucevic Orlando denial does that mean that the Magic are shopping him and have gotten low ball offers and therefore are in no rush to trade him or he's been on the market so long that his star is fading so to breathe new life into discussions the Magic are positing that they are in no rush to trade him?

Just want to add that Cave did indeed say that Durant and GS had a strong mutual interest months before any media reported it. He also told us the exact nature and length of Curry's playoff injury within hours (again, way before the media) of it happening.

His sources probably get stuff wrong occasionally like everyone but he was spot on with Durant. I'm almost 100% sure he heavily considered GS all of last year.

Oh, he may have considered, just saying there was zero certainty (or really even leaning that way) til the end. Seems it took a last minute swing.

So comprising all of the tidbits from smitty.

* Clips would like do cut out SAC and get Crowder instead of Gay.

* Celtics can sign Brown, wait 30 days then send him instead of Jerebko

* Trade both and take on Singler ? I don't think we have room to take in RWB/Singler if only one of JJ/JB are traded, especially with no Brown signing.

* if RWB agrees to extend, we give up both BRK 17 and Brown, if not then of the two

* If they trade Crowder or Bradley can keep Brown and/or BKN 17 ? Or is it referring to Clips or OKC ?

* Presti could give a discount to Ainge because of their relationship, and dor taking on PJ3 contract.

I know the rumor kings here love to engage in mutual ball washing but let's get a few facts out there. Caveman did not break the Durant to GSW rumor. I know I often find myself debating with Caveman - usually over tanking and Wallace for Lee trade - and maybe that means I am biased. I do have to give him credit for being unwavering in his belief that Durant would go to GSW. The GSW were champs and entered 2015 year defending their title with enough expiring deals to do a max deal so everybody knew they were going after somebody. Only Caveman stayed firm that KD was going there so his sources or his own common sense are undeniable,

But for the record, it was Klays dad who broke the news .... and it was in May 2015 before they even won their first title. And he broke the news in Sports Illustrated no less.

Something aint adding up, Jerebko can be taken out of the deal with OKC if we also took on Singler ? Or if we trade him in addition to Brown we also take on Singler ?

Then the news about Bradley/Jae, are they worth so much that OKC can live without Brown "and/or" Nets 17 or Clippers being without Nets 18 and MEM pick?
