I don't know that it'll take that long... seriously.

I question whether he ever plays again. Period. And I'm not using Rapaport as a reference as he's still looking for the video of Dez in the Walmart parking lot. I just think Gregory has some serious issues he needs to care for first and foremost.

I hope you're wrong....but Gregory has no one to blame but himself for putting his NFL career in serious jeopardy.

Why would you hope he is wrong about that? Damn, what more evidence do you need to see that you can't fix stupid when it comes to this one. WOW.

What I meant was that Gregory will get it together. As it stands the hope of that happening is dwindling by the moment.

I hope you are kidding by mentioning bringing that old, worn out retread. I'd rather take my lumps and bring in a new kid or draft choice next year. I have the feeling you are a younger poster that never had the pleasure of seeing how the real Dallas Cowboys, or should I say America's team was really, built or put together. This version, culture, etc., is nothing we grew up watching the first 25 years of our life's. We were always feared (in a good way), no one wanted to play us come playoff time. The rich tradition, the system, the class, the best coaches, the best organization that set the standard for the way football is played today, and the culture today is nothing like the culture and standards set by the 3 people that built this team. Landry, Murchinson and Scram. I'm so embarrassed to be a life long Cowboy fans since 1970. Time for a margarita.

Well what would you prefer....Greg Hardy? I'm the least bit interested in revisiting that avenue. I would rather chance it with Freeney

Next year’s draft should be be defense heavy....Should Gregory become available he will be in heavy competition for backup DE and IF the Cowboys allow him to get on the field....then the Cowboys should make sure that his time become a living hell. Wanna piss your future away smoking weed...you deserve to get knocked on your butt and be reminded of your screwup.

I'll take a year of Freeney at the veteran minimum. He showed last year he still has a little in the tank. And it isn't like he would be taking time from some young dude.

The young dudes are all suspended.

Meanwhile, reports are that the league will fine the Cowboys $250K for having a bunch of miscreants on the suspension list.

Which is why I feel that the Cowboys should give Gregory a hard time once he steps on the field. McClain is a different story. He's a lost cause so the sooner he is gone from Dallas the better...but Randy is younger so he should get some sense knocked into him during practice. If that don't work....then he can join McClain.

You can't be serious about brining Gregory back. YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID. You want to know all our feelings on Greg Hardy. We have a wonderful thread in here just on Hardy you should catch up on. Its been discussed and you won't have any questions on how we feel about that slime ball.

Yea Hardy is a scumbag. Any positive he might bring to the field (which were very few last year) are far outweighed by the negatives he brings to the locker room. No thanks.

As for Freeney, if he were brought in on a 1 year deal I'd be ok with it. He wouldn't start and would really only be a situational pass rusher. Besides like Roadhog said its not like he'll be taking time from the young guys, they're all suspended.

I also still expect a trade at some point in coving one of the RB's.

At this point I'm of the opinion "can't trust him". Doesn't mean my mind can't be changed especially if the reports of him being bi-polar are correct. My brother-in-law is. He screwed up and went off his meds and damn near screwed up his life for good. Now he's on them and does well. But I've seen first hand that Gregory needs to be solely focused on getting his scene together. I wouldn't even pretend I could count on him this season at all.

Which is why once again I would be burning up Freeney's phone right now.

Gregory is in his early 20s...because of that he deserves a chance...but like I posted....he's pissing away the opportunity.

I can't disagree with that. Gregory is currently unreliable which is why playing time shouldn't be automatically given to him...and when he does step on the field I would love to see the offensive linemen knock him on his butt with mean intentions.

I'm going to let MR. B. and Roadhog handle this one. They know how I feel about these situations. I don't care how old he is. I don't ever want to see him in a Cowboy uniform again. Let him be someone's else's problem. We gave him a chance and he rewarded us and the NFL by doing it again. This is PROFESSIOONAL football. Not a drug rehab center. Get him the **** out of here. He's a f....... loser!
There are thousands of healthy things to do in this world and life. He has more money that a lot of people. Buy your mom a house, spend time with family or start pursuing a family, volunteer to something your passionate about while you are in a position to do. Get into real estate, take a trip around the world, something besides drugs, night clubs, strippers and hanging around the losers from the project you came from. Don't understand why these young kids with millions of dollars can't find something good and healthy to do in this country of vast opportunity. I can't help wonder if most of these kids even graduate from high school and college. I'm going to say it one more time and then drop it. YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID.

Can we all just agree that the following statement would make each of us happy this afternoon?

"Rolando McClain has been released..."

How much clearer does he have to make it to Jerry that he doesn't want to play. He doesn't love the game, hell I don't even think he likes it much less love it. Just get rid of his ass. And send **** (Gregory) out the door with him.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
