Need to know:
- Manny Machado and Chris Davis have not enjoyed a lot of success against Estrada during their careers. The two Orioles sluggers are a combined 4-for-24, but three of those four hits were home runs.
- Edwin Encarnacion has faced Gausman more than anyone else in the Blue Jays lineup but he's still looking for his first hit against the Orioles righty. Encarnacion will enter this game 0-for-12 with three strikeouts and one RBI vs. Gausman.
- Toronto should be well rested for this game. The Blue Jays have a day off on Thursday and the club also sat several of its prime-time players during the series finale against the Padres on Wednesday. Michael Saunders, Martin and Troy Tulowitzki were among those who got the day off.
