(BUT THROUGH IT ALL A LOT OF GREAT THINGS HAVE HAPPENED).

I SAY ALL OF THAT TO SAY: I'm encouraged! God is good all the time. Face forward. Go and GROW. LIVE AND LEARN AND LOVE.

I haven't been to a movie at a theater in months. I watch DVDs that I get free from a military library. But GUESS WHAT?

I'm actually IN a movie. :D

And for all the BS, lots of good things are on the horizon.

Does that movie have a name? When will it be at Foxchase 1 2 & 3? (Foxchase: It's Not Just Porn!) When you're on the screen, no matter what's going on in the movie, I'm going to say really loudly, "HEY, I KNOW THAT GUY!" then continue talking about it intermittently through the rest of the movie, just so everyone knows I'm serious.

I dreamed I was in a Hollywood movie, and that I was the star of the movie. This really blew my mind.

Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates

According to my niece, (I haven't seen it), I'm laughing at the beach. (Which is somewhat disappointing to me, because there were apparently many scenes cut if that's all I was in. Oh well).

monte, there is a project being filmed. (You can google Amy Schumer Untitled Mother Daughter comedy). Perhaps next year I'll be seen in another movie, God-willing. I do have a newfound appreciation for an apparently very nice person. Kind and even nicer looking in person than on the screen. I can only say if I never get to do this type work again, I feel blessed.

(For the next paragraph, in all modesty I was present for 4 of 40 days filming. So, at least 90% of went on I have no clue FWIW)
From Mike and Dave, I was very impressed with the calm, friendly demeanor of Adam Devine and Anna Kendrick. Zac Effron seems intense. Dude works hard and is extremely ripped. They (the three of them) seem to be great friends with each other and good peeps. Nothing but good experiences as a background artist. Really love the other background artists and just the energy of being involved in the creative process. Kinda disappointed in my appearance but it is what it is. I got nothing but good energy on Mike and Dave.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, there have instances where big stars had all their scenes cut from movies. It's all part of the game. Win or lose, you know you're in the game.

AFM, I'm a continuity trivia item IMO.

In Mike and Dave you can see me in New York (by the blue vending truck accross the street from the bar) ... AND you can see me Hawaii (smiling by the beach, and for a long time shoulders behind Zac Effron. I'm so wide you get part of me. :) )

I look completely different in the night and day scenes--wardrobe is huge.

I'm trying to see this movie, solely to see a RealGM legend in action.

That guy is an acquaintance, (Kevin) but not me. Good peeps. I'm short (like Adam Devine and Zac Effron). And wide. I am wearing a brown and green aloha shirt--standing directly behind Zac Effron in one scene.

The scene you see my face in is called a cross or crossing. Folks are moving about.

Edited to add: I think Anna Kendrick is a really nice person. Didn't speak to her as I was an extra and I wanted to give a star respect. If i ever work on anything else with her in it I will tell her I respect her work on every level and she represents stardom with grace.

My taste in entertainment is outside the comfort zone. I like small, independent films that are character-driven...no Hollywood stuff for the most part. Well-written compelling stories are what I like. I am open-minded, hit me with what you really like.

You might like Bridge of Spies, based on a true story. Happened during the cold war. Tom Hanks plays the lead and the movie is pretty close to what actually happened. This guy really put himself at risk for his job and his country.

"Get Out" was surprisingly well acted for a junky horror /suspense movie.

I couldn't find this tread on realgm... sorry for spaming music tread...

I am watching:
The 100 (4th season)
Shameless (7th season)

I couldn't find Mad Men season 6 and 7 and can't finish this tv show

I was dumb to lose my time on Netflix 13 reasons why. The most overrated TV series I watch in ages... imdb over 9/10 is beyond me...

Orphan Black I stuck in the middle of 3rd season and gave up on this.
Clone,clones, everybody cloned!

I am waiting on Jessica Jones 2nd season, OITNB 5th season and pretty much no other shows on horisont worth to watch.

I watched yesterday Great Wall with Matt Damon. I know this movie wasn't too great but I was enjoying epic battles and stunning Tian Jing

Recently saw All the Way about LBJ taking over after the Kennedy assassination. Pretty good movie. LBJ was a tough country boy who had long time friends that were totally against the Civil Rights movement and he basically had to drag them kicking and screaming into modern times.

It pretty funny watching him play the political game. He understood that getting from point A to point B was definitely not a straight line.

Quick update:

TV mini series Big Little Lies with Nicole Kidman, Shai Woodley, Laura Dern and Reese Witherspoon.
Moms, Lies, great acting many tough subjects: domestic abuse, rape, bullying, gossips, cheats and mistery murder at the end.
It's only 7 episodes but definatelly worth to watch.
Nicole is my Golden Globe nominee.
Twin Peaks season 3 huge dissapointment for now.
New show Handmaids Tale should be good - Joseph Fiennes, Peggy from Mad Men, Yvonne Strahovski hottest chick in Dexter back in the days...

Shameless is the show I could recommended to everyone without any doubt.
William H.Macy is the boss as Frank Gallagher. Very happy there will be 8th season!

I can attest to how excellent Big Little Lies is, had no idea what it was until I saw a bunch of my FB friends raving about it.

I am enjoying a quirky show on Amazon called The Patriot, check it out if you have Amazon.

Tricky_Kid, I recall offering encouragement....

This thread I started back when I was married, had custody of my kids, and would frequently take them to movies. I used to see all kinds of movies at theaters.

Then came long divorce experience. Legal fees.

Then came crime accusation (false, but I still had criminal, civil, and family court dates). Costly.

I went down to nothing financially, almost. No cable for almost two years. Six weeks no power. The only movies I would see were library DVDs...

Here's the good news:

God. :)

I'm now a background actor! I've been in a couple major motion pictures. Was on Hawaii 5-O as a driver extra (my car was featured). God gifted me with the ability to dance. Even did that in the background on a show featured on Comedy Central.

So, I have to say "God is good all the time!"

We go through a lot of ups and downs in life but just hang in there. :)

I'm thinking about participating in local theater here in Hawaii so that I can get some speaking parts and get better at my acting.
