Damn ESPN's got us at 36 wins... gotta do something about that.

Somewhere between 31-41 wins without major trades and injuries

I like Fox a lot as a piece to a really good team. He's well rounded and plays both ends equally hard. I don't think he's anywhere close to a franchise piece, but some team is going to draft him and really like his game. Great personality btw. Will be easy to play with.

I'd be OK with any pick from 5-10, which I predict the Heat will be by the 2017 draft.

If we start off strong, and by strong in mean a top 5 seed pace, which probably means our young guys are doing very well - I say forget the draft and go for it. Push for the playoffs and try to upset a top seed. It's not worth wasting the year it if we end up with a pick in the teens.
But if we start out real shaky, barley looking like a eastern playoff team - then **** it we should go all out and tank for that top 5 pick. Top 5 picks have historically dominated the NBA, our own franchise best addition in history only got here because he was a #5 pick.
This draft has at least 5 players with very high upside, If we're bad (organically bad) we should try to be worse in the second half of the year and use the opportunity to snatch one of those franchise altering players. A lot less teams are tanking this year, and with Waiters and Babbit on board, we can do it.

nbadraft.net is all over the place with their recent mock. I like Isaac a lot, but its a stretch to have him as fifth. Also, Adebayo outside of the lottery is hard to believe. Thomas Bryant in the second round? Wow.

Only use draftexpress
nbadraft hasn't been relevant since Deshawn Stevenson was the next Michael Jordan

I use DX, nbadraft.net, and NBA Draft Room. I've been using nbadraft.net for over a decade now and I like the articles they have on the up and coming prospects.
They've been known to miss big though. Kosta Perovic anyone? He was HUGE on nbadraft.net, and other places as well, but ended up being no one of substance.
Ivan Chiriaev? Here's a board post from nbadraft.net's forums, that highlights how big of a prospect he was at one point:
http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/bust-i-will-never-forget-ivan-chiriaev
Qyntel Woods? The list goes on and on.
Many of these sites are getting better at bust proofing themselves after many of the disastrous scouting reports we've seen in the past.

Considering the free agent market has dried up for 2017 and 2018, the best chance at the whale is in the draft. Steph and KD are not leaving the Warriors. We're not gonna be a destination for the banana boat cause of the Wade breakup, and Harden extended his contract. Westbrook seems like he has a good chance of an extension too. Which means the only major free agents available in the next two years are like Blake and Boogie. Everyone spent their money to be mediocre at best, great draft with less teams tanking than before is a great chance for us to grab someone.

I just noticed that nbadraft has us selecting Frank Jackson in the first round. He's a shooting guard learning how to play point, and would create more roster imbalance for us, but I can't say I'd be unhappy.

They're assuming we'll win 48 games again though.

Any of these 4 (in order) and I will be ecstatic:
1. Josh Jackson
2. Dennis Smith Jr.
3. Harry Giles
4. Markelle Fultz

I like JJ and Fultz the most out of that quartet. That's based partly on them being injury free with more games to watch.
They also play the game at good pace and are good decision makers. The level of their teammates picks up when they hit the floor too.

What I really love about Fultz is the way he'll fit here, he's exactly the high IQ aggressive scorer we can use next to out young core guys.
I like Josh Jackson a lot but can he share the court with Justise? both look like the prototypical SF.

Harry Giles tore his acl two times in high school?
Derrick Rose has been a shell of himself since tearing his acl. How can someone with that injury history be projected that high?

Rose was a small guard and his entire game was based on great athleticism.
Giels is 6'11 and generally the younger you are when you get injured the better you're expected to recover. That's the human body. But his health is definitely going to be a big factor for scouts this year, he needs to stay healthy the full year or he could slip.
