Unless there are any objections, once the final player in the starting five I probably would have gotten is picked I'm going to post my team just for **** and giggles. I don't want to pollute the final debates by trying to throw in discussion of my team that never was, so I'll post it soon just to see what you guys think and add some more interesting discussion during the draft process. I really like the squad I would have ended up with. I have a feeling my 5th starter might not get picked for a bit so I might break down and post it sooner, but I really don't want to do anything to influence future picks.

Sorry, guys, for the delay. I had too much fun watching Stranger Things.

For the Southpaw category, I select Lamar Odom, 2009-10.

Odom's one of the greatest sixth men in the recent past and a player who was able to impact every aspect of the game. He thrived off the bench after being reluctant initially and he put up 10.8 ppg, 9.8 rpg, and 3.3 apg during the 2009-10 season. At 6' 10", he helped make being a point forward a "cool thing" in today's NBA with his ball handling, playmaking, and versatility.

PS. I hope he seeks help soon. I'm rooting for him to overcome his demons.

For the Rookie category, I select Alonzo Mourning, 1992-93.

As a rookie, he helped the Hornets reach the playoffs for the first time and advance to the second round. He averaged 21 ppg, 10.3 rpg, and 3.5 bpg in his rookie season. He is also the Hornets' career leader in shot blocks.

Had I gone with Stockton over Dirk then Bosh was going to be my next pick. The big question for me was to go with higher scoring Raptors version or with the Heat version after he learned to shoot 3s.

He could shoot 3s in Toronto too, just didn't shoot many due to being the target inside. He shot 36% in 9/10

On 22 attempts....
its all in how you spin it :)

He always hit a handful each year which shows me he has range to pull his man out for Kareem to go to work.

I think going to Miami really affected how he will look as a player. He was great in Toronto but had to sacrifice the most to get that miami team to work. He should've gone to spurs instead

Zo was so damn good as a backup for Shaq. That would be a great pick.

I might as well go ahead and add my final starter using the All-NBA category. I'm sure most of you had a pretty good idea who I would be picking with that category. No more suspense.

Team Fats Selects Moses Malone, All-NBA, 1982-83

Year? Take your **** pick. Which one of his 3, yes THREE!, different MVP years should I select, 78-79? 81-82? or 82-83?

I'll take Moses from the 1982-83 season when he led the Sixers to an NBA title beating the Lakers in the process. Not only was he the NBA MVP that year, but he was also the Finals MVP. He scored more points per game in the previous season, but its hard to pass on the version of Moses who won it all and dominated in the process. When the fast breaking slows down to a halfcourt game, enter Moses and his bully ball to dominate inside. And what better way to ignite the fast break than to dominate the glass.

All hail the greatest offensive rebounder the league has ever seen

1982-83
24.5 ppg, 15.3rpg, 2.0bpg
NBA MVP
Finals MVP
1st team All-NBA
1st team All-Defense (oh yeah, not only was he **** monster on offense but he was 1st team All-Defense as well)

Team Fats

PG: Magic Johnson 85-86, 18.8ppg, 5.9rpg, 12.6apg, 1st team All NBA, All-Star
SG: Ray Allen 08-09, 18.2ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.8apg, 41% from 3, 199 3s made, All-Star
SF: Michael Cooper 86-87, 10.5ppg, 4.5apg, 38.5% from 3, DPOY, 1st team All-Defense
PF: Karl Malone 96-97, 27.4ppg, 9.9rpg, 4.5apg, NBA MVP, 1st team All-NBA, 1st team All-Defense, All Star
C: Moses Malone 82-83, 24.5ppg, 15.3rpg, 2.0bpg, NBA MVP, Finals MVP, 1st team All-NBA, 1st team All-Defense, All Star

PG:
SG: Manu Ginobili 07-08, 19.5ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.5apg, 40.1% from 3, 156 3s made, 6th MotY, All-Star

I actually have a few videos planned for my YouTube channel of Mengke Batter from the 2002 World Championship where he had a few games with 20+ points.
