Hard to believe the 92-93 version of Price lasted that long. Testament to the depth of the closer category.

Re: 2016 Scavenger Hunt Draft (Coolio's pick)
So when you can go out and get a guy that looks like the love child of two of the sexiest men on the planet(Ashton Kutcher and David Boreanaz) you have to do it. It's as simple as that. Who cares if he rains hellfire and brimstone from behind the arc. One of the most feared scorers in the league. None of that matters. I need the face of a Roman God to put sexually aroused individuals into my home seats.
Kyle Korver, 13-14, Closer
12/4/3/1 average on the year. With an "okay" 47.2% from 3 on 5.5 attempts. I don't know what's gonna be more wet in our arena. The nets or....never mind. Moving on.
I'm not exactly sure how big of a role he will have on the team yet, but I do know that he's gonna get his open spot up threes, you know the shot he made 53.3% of the time. Don't leave him open or he's gonna leave your girl....never mind. Moving on.
In a draft full of superstars I needed a guy that knows his role. And I need a guy that knows how to play in a ball movement pace and space offense. He's done it in Atlanta and he can do it for me. Fast breaks with Curry, Korver, Pierce and a player to be named later. Pick n rolls with curry as the ball handler. Robinson as the roll man and Korver open in the corner if your man so dares to help out. And if he doesn't. Thanks for the one on one bucket.
Korver's gravity is stronger than Jupiter's. He leaves lanes open just by standing there. And when you decide to leave him? You disappear into space and nobody hears from you again because your coach just banished you to oblivion.
"...Korver receives more defensive attention than almost anybody else in the NBA." -Kirk Goldsberry during the 13-14 season
Zach Lowe article before the 13-14 season identifying just how valuable Korver can be for a team. Even identifying how he's not just a shooter but a good passer as well and a "plus off-ball defender".
http://grantland.com/features/kyle-korver-nba-atlanta-hawks/
**** chart from 13-14

Might just have to call him the Guillotine with that Death from Above statement there.

I prepared something for Price on my lunch break. I don't have time to do one for Korver now

Also preparing it before it was my pick was probably like talking about a no hitter in the 6th inning. I deserved to get sniped for that.

Yeah I'm pretty happy about that. I just wanted Peice because I thought he was by far the best backup PG available.
not sure if Korver is going to start for me yet or not. Just depends on how the rest shakes out.

Better not snipe my next pick, ESAL. You are the only one that can do so. I NEED this player.

Fingers crossed I don't! I already sniped Diop and Ian.

Comeon man this is war! Do you think Chicago was sorry for Portland when they picked Bowie? I've already sniped you plenty! Regardless I don't think you'll pick this player, but we'll see.

Justice Winslow - Invisible - 2015-2016
He's one of the best of the invisible bunch and gives me a defensive stopper that plays with high energy.

He was mine too, for some reason I thought he would be safe and put off picking him.
I loved Mark Price

i was eyeing him off as well, going to be a lot of sniping as we get towards the end and the options decrease in the crappier categories

Re: 2016 Scavenger Hunt Draft (BtG's pick)
I agree, now is where the real strategy comes in.... also looking at what categories are left for certain people. These next 4 picks before my turn again are interesting considering they both have All-NBA picks left. I have a feeling fats and/or yben are looking at a particular category and are really hoping that diamond in the rough is gonna fall to them.

With my sixth pick I select Bobby Jones 1982-83 (Championship Bench)
One of the greatest and the cleanest (lol) defender in NBA history.
NBA All-Defensive First Team, Sixth Man of the Year.

Re: 2016 Scavenger Hunt Draft (BtG's pick)
'78 Barry fell into the category of "I'm scared to pick him because others will point out that it creates chemistry issues".
But certainly an awesome player to pick so late into this thing.
