He went to college at Notre Dame, which is, in fact, in Indiana......

Most people forget that Bill was a great pick and pop player. Deadly from midrange, and could shoot 3's later in his career. A stretch four who will beat you up? Yes please. Since I can pick any year, I'll go with 89-90... Despite the reduced stats per game, he won a championship, layed guys out and also made 57 threes that year. By the way, this dude didn't miss a game for 8 straight years in his career, and nearly averaged 90% from the stripe during that span. Impressive. 12.1 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 1 bpg, 51/36/85%

PG: John Stockton (1992; Dream Team, 2nd team all NBA, 2nd team all Defense, 15.8 ppg, 13.7 apg, 3.0 spg, 50/40/84 %)
SG: Kobe Bryant (2008; NBA MVP, 1st team all NBA, 1st team all Defense, 28.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 5.4 apg, 1.8 spg)
SF:
PF: Kevin McHale (1984; All-Star, 6th MOTY 18.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.5 bpg. 55% FG)
C: Tim Duncan (1998; All-Star, 1st team all NBA, 2nd team all Defense, Rookie of the Year, 21.1 ppg, 11.9 rpg, 2.5 bpg, 2.9 apg, 55% FG)

Bench: Artis Gilmore (1978; All-Star, 2nd team all Defense, 22.9 ppg, 13.1 rpg, 2.2 bpg, and 3.2 apg)
Bench: Mark Price (1993; All Star, All-NBA 1st Team, 18.2 ppg, 8.0 apg, 48% FG, 41% 3PT 94.8% FT
Bench: Bill Laimbeer (1990; NBA Champion, 12.1 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 1 bpg, 51/36/85%)

Shawn Marion Championship bench 10-11

For some reason this damn website doens't work since i updated chrome. Cant do proper writeups i've been trying to make this pick for 20 minutes and I wanted to add a video that wasn't working. How good must you be to have that shooting form and make such a good career in the league? You'd be laughed at but Marion was such an incredible player and athlete. And I also like the fact that he never really changed it. I mean for god's sake he shot 39% with it on 4.5 attempts in Phoenix.

Laimbeer didn't miss a game in 8 years? That's nuts especially with his play style

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Marion started too many games to be considered for this category.

Correct. 50 games or more played. 10 starts or less.

Wow, I just realized I had a massive overlook in my research. When doing my rankings for Hoosier I stopped after only looking at Indiana University. Duh. Several other huge universities in Indiana. Time to see who else I can dig up for that category.

I have YBs picks for this round. He just sniped my next pick. Good thing he picks before me. Bastard. I'll go with my backup plan.

Apparently Coolio's plan is to fight his way to the championship.

I literally had opened a Wikipedia page of "List of universities at Indiana" to educate my ignorant self about the available colleges.

Re: 2016 Scavenger Hunt Draft (still Flip's pick)

Laimbeer is underrated as a player. People look back at him as a simple goon when in fact he provided you with 16/9, great defense and shot threes back when Sikma was the only other center to do so.

Kind of Marc Gasol-ish.

Was hoping this realization was going to last at least one more round or two.

Well Barkley does consider him soft. Which is funny to hear that from a player when every fan thinks the opposite.

Random thought. I know at the end we have the opportunity to state our case for our team. Would it take to much time to have each team be able to ask three other teams of their choosing a question about their team. So we get maybe some more specific details.

Ask them why they chose this guy. Ask them how they would defend your team or another team. What kind of matchups would you deploy for this. Or something like that.

Just a thought. Might be too cumbersome though.

Ironically, there are real tough guys like Oakley who consider Barkley a fake tough guy.

I wanted Laimbeer several rounds ago, but I kept gambling on the fact nobody realized Notre Dame counted for the category on basketball reference. I was certain fats/Yosemite was going to pick him this round. He's a player that you want him on your team, otherwise you are gonna absolutely hate him. And he works well with Price and Gilmore on the 2nd unit.

There is another guy I have alluded to that falls in the Laimbeer category that hasn't been picked yet. I contemplated it a few rounds ago until I read more and more about him.

So is it Lamar's pick or are we waiting for Flip to correct?
