Finally got to watch This Sunday nights The Night Of. Definitely the most tense episode yet. Such a wonderful show. HBO did it again of course.

I watched season 3 of Bojack Horseman over the weekend and damn. It's the blackest comedy ever made disguised by a lot of well written puns. I highly recommend it, just keep in mind how depressing it is.

Season 1 of Mr. Robot. My type of brain candy.

I loved Stanger Things. It felt like a long movie but in a great way. Stephen King mixed with Spielberg. Love the kid with the lisp, definitely my fav. Lucas however, I wanted to punch him in the face a couple of times.

I binged The Americans earlier this year and I'm currently waiting for Mr. Robot Season 2 to end so I can binge it as well. Both shows get high praise from me. Especially The Americans, I'm such a sucker for spy ****.

Thought I'd chime in and suggest Person of Interest. It just finished up within the last two months. I don't think the last season is on Netflix at this point, but it's well worth a watch. It's one of my favorites over the last few years and the overall plot deals with the privacy questions we're all facing and are being made increasingly aware of every day. It's a serialized show from the beginning but over time becomes less focused on the # of the week and more so on the over arching plot. It also just chock full of bad ass moments. Good music by Ramin Djawadi adds to that, he also does Game of Thrones music, and it's helmed by Jonathan Nolan who worked with his brother Chris Nolan on the Dark Knight, Prestige, Interstellar and Momento. I'd say he has a pretty good track record.

finished season 1 of Stranger Things last night. Oh man that was so good and fun. I immediately started panic googling to find out if there was a season 2 in the works. It would make for a killer video game as well.

Big McBride fan - would love to check this out, but don't have HBO or the know-how/energy to source it by other means. :D

I've heard the music score is awesome.

Did you also have a spank/stash box like Henry while growing up? I'm just kidding.

Well, as a matter of fact... When I was like 10, some older kids had left a mag in the woods. Us younger kids in the neighborhood found it and ripped out some pages and ran back home. I hid mine in a shoebox in my closet. My nosey ass mom found those pages in like 3 days and I got yelled at.

Back in my day, when we were kids we went wandering around the woods looking for porn. Nowadays, kids go wandering around looking for Pokeymen. Dang kids.

Hes starting to grow on me. A lot of my friends really like him but I've always thought he was kinda meh, just some guy that was in some stuff I liked, but I'm really starting to see the appeal after seeing him in something where he is in a leading role.

I thought he sucked when I first started watching The Shield. After the end of that series, I was won over. As Boyd Crowder in Justified he became the icing on the cake.

Anyone seen the Netflix show, Marco Polo? Halfway through the 1st season and it's really tickling my history bone. Reminds me a lot of Spartacus except without the cheesiness (Nothing against Spartacus, I loved that show).

I've been wanting to pull the trigger on Marco Polo for the same history bone reasons, but I just kept hearing mediocre things about it, so it always got pushed to the back burner for something else.

Really funny. Didn't realize it was filmed in Charleston until McBride was on Bill Simmons show. Apparently Bill Murray, resident of Charleston, convinced them to shoot the show there. And then they convinced him to play a part in the show.

What's good about Stranger Things?

Thinking of picking it up.
On October 31, 2009, against the Kings, a bat descended onto the court causing a stoppage of play. As the bat flew past, Ginóbili swatted the bat to the ground with his hand. He then carried the creature off the court, earning the applause of the crowd.

I loved pretty much everything about it. Great writing, likable characters, eerie 80s theme music. Its a throwback to the late 70s, 80s sci-fi movies and just 80s movies in general. They purposely recreated scenes from so many famous 80s movies. Watching it you'll immediately get the feeling of ET, Goonies, Alien, Firestarter, among others. I've yet to read a negative review of the show and everyone I know that has watched it has loved it. Its scary in parts, funny in parts, suspenseful in parts.

Marco Polo is good, I don't mind the acting or the fact its in English one bit (its biggest complaints).

I have been binge watching Shark Tank, never saw it before.

Waiting for Gotham, Survivor, Better Call Saul. Gave up on Once Upon a Time, should've killed it already. Incredible show for the first three seasons, now its just laughable. I watch Devious Maids with the wife since she's Hispanic. Might try the new season of Gilmore Girls, really loved that show. Its really hard to get me to watch a new show. I tried Vikings but I fell asleep. I tend to rewatch an older show becuase of my bad short term memory.

Um, you guys know about Kodi and Amazon Fire TV right

I think Steve Buscemi in that scene in the last episode is one of the top3 best acted scenes I've ever seen.
Spoiler:
You could just see the madness in his eyes.

Buscemi, by the way, is someone who I consider to be my favorite actor.

yeah I agree, it was perfectly played. So many brilliant performances, Alan Alda was awesome.
Laurie Metcalf got an emmy nomination for that episode where she talks about her relationship with her new father in law. which was funny but also disturbingly graphic.

Just a different show, its left me in a funk all afternoon, as it really was dark and depressing.
left so many different scenes rattling around in my head.

Horace and Pete was brutal, but so good. I was scared to watch it, but I'm glad I did.
