Nice ass whooping today and always good to get a sweep.

Texas won too, but we're only 2.5 games behind them right now. With Bregman being called up and Gurriel due to join the team in the next couple weeks(I think I read somewhere they expect him in mid-August?), not to mention whatever possible trade scenarios might occur, this is a pretty exciting time!

Hopefully Marwin isn't too hurt after tweaking his ankle today, but looks like it wasn't that bad and he's day-to-day. Putting Bregman in at third and sliding Valbuena over to first in the meantime looks pretty good to me.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Yeah, this team is looking so good right now! I know that the team has it's issues playing the Rangers, but you know that they are watching the Astros very closely right now.

I would be safe with Marwin and give him a little extra time to rest. We'll need him more in late August & September.

Astros need to get the hell out of Detroit and not look back.

Man the Astros have been bad as of late! Losing series to Yankees, Seattle and A's. Now swept by the Tigers. And rangers take all the bats we wanted! Just imagine if Beltran came back did what he did the last time, holy balls!

Let's hope they can sweep Toronto, because Aug. 5th is looming...

Well, I guess it's a good thing we made no big moves at the deadline.

Apparently we're still in rebuild mode and looking towards the future, which I do still believe is bright enough to wear shades, but...

...eh, whatever.

Except when he gets thrown out on the bases, but that's okay.

So, about this upcoming series in Arlington. At this point, let's face it:

We're playing for a WC spot, and the Rangers have been our daddies for long enough that delusions of catching them in the division is...well, whatever.

We can keep our WC hopes and momentum alive by beating them(of course, we get to face Cleveland after that, and then the Cubs followed by the Rangers again...), or see them bend us over and sodomize our souls as they seem to do so frequently.

The fun part is watching how it will play out this last month of the season, but damn this series just makes me feel...I don't know...like......

Well, like this I guess:

Replace "shoot you so bad" with "beat the holy taint out of your team" and you get the idea.

Those Astros I swear have a way of getting your hopes up and then kicking square in the balls or maybe it is just me

Nope, it's not just you. I think it's the burden of being a Houston sports fan.

Our teams lose their balls and that in turn kicks us in our balls and then it's just madness from that point on.

Unreal what has happened just in the past 3 days.
