Yeah, Eli is 35 & on the decline. Big Ben is like 34. Colts = maybe. Rams are still a huge question mark.

Tom Brady is 38 and everyone believes they are a top 4 team still.

Brett Favre 40 years old, last game a conf championship.

and of course who won last year regardless of injuries?

Warner 39 or 40 in his last SB.

The difference is all those QB's were on very good teams. Some would say stacked. There were a lot of great players around them as well. Outside of Eli and Beckham with no defense = 0. Ben and Brown with no defense and multiple suspensions of players = 0. Well, the Rams are the Rams. They have Girly and nothing around him with one of the worse offensive lines in football. I smell 8 or 9 in the box all year long. Colts have Luck and Hilton and a horrible defense. I just don't see it.

This is tough, because I don't know exactly how good Osweiler is, but if he ends up being good, they will be tough. The Panthers will be tough. Tampa Bay could be very tough if Winston pans out because they have a strong defense. And I'm a big Todd Bowles fan, so if they find a qb, they would be another team I think you have to watch out for.

stop moving the goal posts, my old man.

the only point was their age. I pointed to older QBs=point proven.

its not so much that they won but the fact is they were still starting and playing at a high level or they wouldnt have been playing at all.

Eli and Roeth are fine.

So because a few old guys were great at the end of their career (Manning being another one) that means they all will? OK

That Minnesota team was a great team, and Favre did play well, but he was clearly on the decline at that point. But you may only pay attention to the top teams, and may not remember him in few years before that.

What's wrong with you. None of us said we had a problem at all with Eli or Ben. We are just saying they don't have much around them right now that makes us think they will be a top team for the next 5 years. Remember the THREAD we are suppose to be taking about.

You mean like Peyton Manning did last year. Like John Elway back in the late 90's. Boomer E., Craig Morton in 1977. What about Kilmer and Sonny J.? Earl Morrill also comes to mind. I'm sure there are more Qb's that have made a championship game that I am forgetting.

you agree with me. They obviously were not clearly in decline because they started and won games
