Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf - Closer - 1995-1996

According to Phil Jackson he's as good as Steph Curry. 8-)

Also college teammate of my star center.

Also had a great idea for a category next round. Slam Dunk Contest Winner. Obviously you take them the season they won.

ESaL the last one to take his All NBA cornerstone player. Any bets on who he will take? I have my guess, based on who is left and his roster.

he was definitely on my list of possible backups. He was such a sweet shooter and did pull off the occasional Curry shot.

just dont ask him to stand up for the national anthem ( i think that was him?? )

I was about to select Kirilenko, but i think he is a risky pick since he was so frustated and mentally weak at the moment.

wasn't there a post here somewhere where someone asked Fats about this category and whether "taller than 6'9"" means that the White Stiff has to be at least 6'10 and Fats replied with a "yes"?

I remember deleting all the Dunleavy's and Schrempf's from my White Stiff spreadsheet.

Always looking for good categories.

I have also been thinking about categories throughout this thing. The two ideas which I liked:

Internatio-role - Any player born outside the USA who wasn't ever selected for an All-Star or an All-NBA team.
Flash in the pan - Any player whose career lasted five (or, perhaps, six) seasons or less (requires research for the druggies, the unfortunate deaths, the one-season wonders, etc.)

just because I love Giants, how about must be 7'3 or taller.

on a related note, how did Chuck Nevitt last for 10 or so years when he generally averaged about 5 minutes a game?

was he a side show attraction? they needed someone to hang the net?

According to this site

Dunleavy measured at 6'9.5" w/ shoes.

yeah Fat's drew the line at 6'10 as per basketball reference. I'm happy to let it go as its not like you are drafting a big advantage with Dunleavy.

Hedo Turkoglu is probably the most similar to Dunleavy
