Rose was a small guard and his entire game was based on great athleticism.

Giels is 6'11 and generally the younger you are when you get injured the better you're expected to recover. That's the human body. But his health is definitely going to be a big factor for scouts this year, he needs to stay healthy the full year or he could slip.

Two acl tears? No one is back to 100% after two acl tears. And if that stuff was common for him in high school what's gonna happen to him when he's in the NBA dealing with back 2 backs and 80 game seasons.

As far as Rose being a small guard isn't Dennis Smith JR in that same boat? Small gard who tore his acl.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

A decent comparison in this case would be Nerlens Noel. He had a knee injury in high school and then injured the other knee in college. He hasn't looked any worse for wear physically since.

I like JJ and Fultz the most out of that quartet. That's based partly on them being injury free with more games to watch.

They also play the game at good pace and are good decision makers. The level of their teammates picks up when they hit the floor too.

What I really love about Fultz is the way he'll fit here, he's exactly the high IQ aggressive scorer we can use next to out young core guys.

I like Josh Jackson a lot but can he share the court with Justise? both look like the prototypical SF.

You take JJ and worry about fit later. As far as fit, I've watched a lot of plays where he is the primary ball handler against top competition where he's pressured and he handles himself very well. Based on how the team would shape up, I'd expect him being able to play 1 thru 3. In my mind, as long as you have plenty of shooters and guys who can handle the ball you don't need that one super high usage distributor.

ACL tears, although scary and among the worse career ending injuries, aren't *that* much of an issue when young. I tore my ACL back when I was around 16-18 and came back strong - without having the benefit of top notch medical care like most of up and coming athletes have.

Really like Fultz and Jackson a lot but I'm not shuriff we'll be bad enough to get a top 10 pick. If not, then I'm not sure it would be overall worth it to trade Dragic so that we can be... If we are bad enough, then we should trade him immediately and make a decision on Whiteside

Wonder if we could be forcing Rich to SF to make room for one of the SG's coming from the draft, doesn't make much sense at all in the scheme of things but it would be convenient I guess

I enjoyed watching this 2015 game between USA and Croatia. Jackson & Giles figure prominently in the game (good and bad moments) as does Onuaku, who looks great, by the way.

Enjoy.

This is what I've grown accustomed to seeing out of Giles, when I'm not watching his highlight videos. He's out of control and pretty much uses his speed as his only asset. I'm not convinced of his game at the NBA level at all.

Terrance Ferguson has such a clean shot. Its so sweet that I never expect him to miss.

Josh Jackson has an all around game, down to the smallest details. The plays where he was clearing a lane in the post for Trier to drive was such smart basketball. He's actively trying to create those situations. He's going to be such a good basketball player.

Onuaku is steady. I was comfortable watching one big man on team USA at least.

This is one of the most entertaining highlight videos I've seen:

I can't account for the level of competition, but the skillset is impressive. Those outlet passes...wow.

Going to have to catch some more games of this kid. NBA Draft Room has him at five, and I must say, he's got me intrigued.

If we fall to the teens... who are some guys to lookout for?

B'sides Grayson Allen, supposedly a stupid stacked draft

Malik Monk
Miles Bridges
Both look like they'll go somewhere between 14-20 but I think they're a lot more talented than that.

Dwayne Bacon would be a decent pick too if he makes some strides this year.

If we can bundle some of these rental players together to get a mid-late first rounder to add add to our lottery pick. getting Josh Jackson and Grayson Allen would be a pretty prime draft haul.

Monk looks like one quirky righty, next year's draft and FA headed to be a monster. Hopefully the lockout can be avoided

We're not better than 10+ teams in the NBA. We lack a star player/closer. A preview of what is to come happened last playoffs.

I've been scouring youtube trying to find full games to watch, but have come up short. I'll have to do some more digging. Highlight videos will only get you so far.

I did find an interview with Givony, and it evidenced a nervous kid, but one who seemed to have a good grasp on what's expected of him. He also speaks English fluently, something I wasn't sure of at first.

I liked the signings we made, because we chose guys with some upside, but its pretty clear that we did very little to replace the massive amount of experience and playoff performance from last year. Losing Deng and Wade is crippling. At this point I'd ride Dragic for all he's worth, then sell high. Build this team back up through the draft.

I wish but I'm not a belieber, papi. I think we could suck enough to miss the playoffs but I think it's kinda a stretch for 10-under, 9-under. Health and rotations definitely matter but I think we're blowing things a little out of proportion and maybe overrating our overall team and season last year. We knew and realized why the talent we had made us a flawed team, so def not new... Papi, I wouldn't lie to you, I don't care either way

The way I look at it in 2014 after LBJ left I thought we were a 50 win team who was gonna compete for the top of the east but we ended up winning just 37 games after we quickly realized that we had zero depth and nothing outside of Wade and CB.

Now for this team you're putting our ceiling at making the playoffs so if thats our roof when things go right what's our floor if they go very wrong?

Cause this team has got some nice young role player in Rich, Justise, and TJ but if CB doesn't come back we're nothing but Goran and Hassan and we have zero half court scorers.

If Hassan get's hurt which he always does for small stretches at a time we'll be left with Willie Reed and Sob at center unless you wanna play UD big minutes.

Opposing teams are gonna pressure Goran, trap him on PnR's and take advantage of the fact that no one other than him can pass on our team.

Listen to me papi this team will be fun at the start of the season but as it goes on we'll quickly find out that the 2016 Heat= no bueno.

Markelle Fultz is now at #1 in draftexpress mock draft cause he played really well at FIBA U18. I gotta say I'm getting excited at the prospect of a Fultz and Jrich backcourt. I like this draft more and more. Josh Jackson is at 5 too now at Draftexpress.
