As a Blazers fan, I was considering a consolidation trade, but the more I think about it, the more it seems like it would need to be a 3 way.

Why on earth would you want Bosh's contract?

It would depend on his health. The first part of last year, Bosh's play would fit in very well with the Blazers offense.

The consensus around here is that you can have him for free if you'll haul him away. Most of us expect the Heat to encourage/nudge/force Bosh into retirement so we can get his contract off our salary cap. So you're talking about a total or partial salary dump in the unlikely event of a trade. You'd definitely need a 3rd team (and maybe a 4th team) to swap some of your contracts for expiring or non-guaranteed deals.

I love Bosh, but if some team were willing to save us some heartbreak and give us a ton of financial freedom, then he's yours.

Bout time for someone to work their magic and start up thread number XIIII.

Really? that's the "consensus"? based on what?

Bosh's value is a bit like Embid's - He's too valuable to trade for scraps if he's healthy, and he's not getting you anything back if he's not.

That's why I can't see him being traded before he proves to be healthy for a year, and after proving it - we might not want to trade him anyway.

Of course it's true. What's the alternative sales pitch?

If it's tru, then that's a good perspective on his health. Was reported by Mike Wallace but I'll still hold it with a pinch of sand

That's the equivalent of stepping on a tank mine, it' not going off, and deciding that it's OK to keep walking over it. He's nothing like Embiid because Embiid doesn't have a massive cap crippling contract. Almost any offer for Bosh is a winner. Even getting long term deals in return is fine because those contracts can be flipped.

btw Bosh is not too valuable. At best he's a 2nd option on a good team, and not even that on a championship caliber team.

No, I think it just means that we're willing to tell a hot blonde that we're a Hollywood producer to get her in the sack.

True, Bosh would be a third option on a championship caliber team (was exactly that for 4 years). But when you look at all he other 3rd options, a healthy Bosh is better than almost all other 3rd options on top-4 teams, over the past 2 years.
Love? Bosh is a 2-way player with more offensive options.
Dray? He's D is better, but Bosh is better on the other end. Dray just fits the Warriors scheme.
Ibaka? Again, loses a little on one end, but more than makes up for it on the other.
JV? Please.
Who ever the hell the 3rd option on the Clippers is.
Which ever of the Spurs oldies was 3rd option? Legit case here, but Bosh is younger.
