In fact, I just checked, he was second in the league for blocks per game among point guards last season, behind John Wall. This is despite playing 10 less minutes than Wall per game, and 4 less than Emmanuel Mudiay at 3rd. And he trails Wall by only 0.04 in blocks per 48.

His defense has always been since his houston days. People just wants to follow what other people are saying so they dont look so bad(announcers for the games). Mentally, he is prepared and ready to help the team to play some very fun bball games. If he fails, cut him!!

It wasn't about Jeremy, Jack even went out of his way to clarify. You just have some really pathetic, childish and insecure Lin fans apparently who think that Jarett has it out for the guy when he doesn't. Jack is like Lin, a class act.

I can see you real like pointing your finger at people and telling them what they are. . .
Again, I don't care...I don't get why you're so angry at my post.

I actually think some of them might not even be Lin fans. We had that problem on every board of Lin-hating trolls pretending to be extreme Lin fans to stir the pot.

Anyway, time to move on, though I believe Jack for the record. Since I think he's had past random twitter entries of "Hahaha" before in his timeline, so it's not unprecedented for him to come out with a random non sequitur "hahaha" out of nowhere. People are just jumping to conclusions and making more of it than it is just due to unfortunate timing.

"I don't believe Jack's clarification." "I don't care about Jack's tweets at all."<—These guys are really pathetic, childish and insecure Lin fans.
I think the above behavior is pretty extreme.

I wasn't referring to you as extreme or one of the trolls pretending to be a Lin fan. Apologies if I gave you that mistaken impression.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it was some moronic Lin-Hating troll from Clutchfans. That was where we first encountered this tactic of trolls making up fake accounts pretending to be crazy Lin fans. And it worked so well for them and destroyed the board that they decided to continue with it elsewhere. Fortunately, the LakersGround mods weren't as lazy as the Clutchfan mods and didn't let them get away with it. They're obsessed with trolling and hating Lin and his fans over there, to the point that Clutchfans has an annual hate thread for Lin where the post count in that thread exceeds that of any Lin thread on the board of the actual team he's on. Despite the fact that Lin has been gone from the Rockets for years. It's insane the level of hate and trolling they do over there and how obsessed Clutchfans still is with Lin.

Last season, the RealGM Hornets board had 4 Lin threads that totaled up for a combined 7,396 posts. When Lin signed with the Hornets, Clutchfans created a thread rooting for the Hornets to fail with Lin. That thread had over 10K posts and over 1 million views. And Lin has been gone from the Rockets for 2 years. It's insane that a thread with all the Lin haters still obsessed with Lin who hasn't been on their team for years still has more posts in it than all the threads with all the Lin fans on the board of the team he actually plays for. Clutchfans is troll central where they send out their trolls to ruin other team boards by pretending to be crazy Lin fans or to pretend to be a voice of reason condemning Lin fans and spreading the gospel of how Lin fans are terrible.

It's not the influx of Lin fans that ruins team boards, but the influx of Lin-hating trolls that follows him and his fans that destroy boards. The Lin-hating trolls destroyed Clutchfans with their fake accounts pretending to be crazy Lin fans, but had so much fun and miss that trolling fun that they now follow him from team to team.

This thread has 529 posts right now. The newly created thread on Clutchfans rooting for the Nets to fail with Lin has 660 posts. It's not the Lin fans that are the problem, but the obsessed Lin haters going around expounding that Lin fans are bad and trolls pretending to be crazy Lin fans. CF is troll central.

Anyway, enough of this rehashing of past boards. I do not find this avenue of discussion to be profitable. Let's move on. And hopefully the haters and trolls can eventually move on as well, instead of still being obsessed after all these years. Let's not continue this discussion.

I'd rather talk about the future and watch how Marks and Atkinson and Lin and whoever else can help the Nets start building a new foundation and mark a departure from the Billy King era. Let the past be the past, and move on.

Read on Twitter

I have no idea how the Knicks and Nets fan bases are distributed in NYC metro area..
I suspect that there might be more Knicks fans than Nets fans even in Brooklyn...
Queens has a bigger Chinatown (flushing) than Brooklyn...

I actually think the Queens Chinese communities might be more fertile ground for them than Brooklyn.

Jeremy's background is Mandarin-speaking. The Queens communities like Flushing and Elmhurst are also majority Mandarin-speaking. The Manhattan Chinatown and I think possibly most of the ones in Brooklyn are predominantly Cantonese rather than Mandarin-speaking.

So in terms of JLin visiting a community and speaking there or having them watch him conduct interviews in Mandarin, he probably gets more bang for the buck in Queens. And Flushing definitely seems to be the most densely populated.

You also have the Chinese community there butting up against the Korean segment. Maybe they'd enjoy this K-Pop music video that someone made of JLin.

He's got some prominent Korean fans like Greg Pak (comic writer for World War Hulk, Batman/Superman, etc.) who went on a long rant about how he's a huge fan of JLin and follows Lin jumping from team to team and what JLin meant to him as an Asian American when some comic book news outlet interviewed him a year or two ago. Actor Daniel Dae Kim (Lost, Hawaii Five-0, etc.) who narrated the Linsanity documentary. And of course Ryan Higa who just did the SpaceJam 3 bit with JLin is also Korean.

Queens does have a sizable Korean element as well that's somewhat adjacent to Flushing. It's kind of funny watching the demographic changes via store windows. In one direction of travel, you start seeing restaurants/storefronts with dual Chinese and Korean lettering (trio if you include English) as the Chinese population mixes with the Korean one. But if you travel along Main Street in the direction away from downtown Flushing, you start seeing Kosher Chinese restaurants as the Chinese population mixes with the Jewish one (Chinese restaurants advertising their Kosher food on their shingle with the appropriate certification from the local Jewish Kosher monitoring and approval authorities). So you've got Chinese restaurants in one area, Chinese + Kosher certified restaurants in another, and Chinese + Korean dual lettering shops in yet another. I've always found it funny to be able to see demographic changes just be looking at store windows.

Fun time, fun time indeed flaming dem Lintrolls.

I wouldn't call the CF mods lazy, they were definitely big part of the problem. They banned all the reasonable and knowledgeable Lin fans but not the trolls.

Well, I guess they got tons of hits cuz of that.

I heard they've got a long tradition of this kinda thing since Yao. It's too bad the other boards have to endure craziness like that. One can only hope that people can distinguish which are the impostors.

While some of the guys from the Jubilee Project that JLin has done videos with are Korean-Americans (Jason and Eddie Lee).

Lots of pick and rolls, pick and pop situations. Lopez is best also going one on one face up so he can generate his own scores.

If Lin can get the passes off to Lopez while Brook is en route to the rim that's an automatic bucket. Lopez is unstoppable when in motion. Its when he's asked to post up and back someone in old school style is where the problem begins. he's a scoring center but his methods of scoring are actually like a wing player's.

Keep in mind, Booker is a terrific finisher as well. I know everyone is a little concerned with spacing but Deron Williams averaged 7 assists with a frontline of Lopez/Evans/Humphries in 2013. I think Lin could do similar work.

Sounds great, Lin loves to pass to bigs in motion.

Is he a great catcher tho? Sometimes the passes are not easy to catch.

Thanks for the correction. I'd somehow gotten the mistaken impression that he was Korean since I think I remember seeing him explain that the "niga" portion of "nigahiga" had nothing to do with the racial slur that it sounds similar to, but that it meant "outspoken" or something in Korean. I guess I must have remembered wrong and he said Japanese and not Korean.
