Re: 2016 Scavenger Hunt Draft (Flip's pick)
I need another super role player. A player who will do the dirty work for my team, excels at physical jobs like rebounding and defense, efficient on offense, and has no problem to comes off the bench.
With my 12th pick, I select Kyriakos Rambidis 1988-89 (Expansion)

I did not know that Rambis played under his greek name as well.

With my last pick, i select Damian Lillard 2012-13 (Rookie)
Unanimous Rookie of The Year, a lethal 3p shooter, very clutch.

His greek name sounds sexier than his current name.

In the 12th round we would like to select...
Russell Westbrook - 2015-16 - Stone Hands
23.5, 7.8, 10.4 and 1st team all NBA.
Westbrook will be an insane 6th man. We plan to let him go wild on a lot of these mediocre bench units lacking defensive presences.

Have to wonder how he'd feel about a bench role behind Conley and playing on the same team as Durant

I mean the same can be said about most of these teams benches. Also not totally set on him coming off the bench but he would be playing most of his minutes with bench units. I think he'd prefer to have the offense running through him than having to share with Dirk, Durant, and Shaq whose games all more complement each other.

I'm actually kind of pissed he hasn't been picked yet. He's right behind Isiah on my All-SWedd Team

1989-90 Kevin Johnson. Honestly shocked he didn't get picked. Goes to show how deep that category was.

I did look at KJ a couple of times, that's probably the best thing about this draft, a lot of good players still on the shelf.
I'm sure the likes of Ewing and Dr J have always been drafted in the past

Re: 2016 Scavenger Hunt Draft (ESaL's pick)
Sorry for the delay. Been out of town at a friend's child's birthday party.
So I've mentioned a few times throughout the draft that I want to be physical and cause havoc on defense and shoot the lights out on offense. Just body blow after body blow on one end and haymakers on the other. This is how I came to decide who I wanted as my All-NBA pick.
There were a lot of good guesses that are maybe better players and better seasons than who I am about to take, but I don't think they are a better fit.
The first guesses were Barkley. I ran out of room on the front court after the last few rounds I had left really only had competent big men.
DR. J - the best small forward available, but I don't think he fits my team well. He can't shoot which would really leave a lot of spacing issues with him and Rodman/Randolph and my center. The best player available but just not what I want in my pick now. Dominates the ball more than I need now.
Derrick Rose - I love Rose, but I just can't. He would be a backup.
Patrick Ewing - Another backup, and I really don't give a **** about him.
Sidney Moncrief - Good shooting guard. Can't really shoot. And he's not a better defender than who I am about to take.
I'm taking a guy that can shoot the lights out, go into the post, but doesn't need the ball in his hands unless it's necessary. He can go one on one and get his points, but he plays well in a ball movement offense off the ball. Especially since i already have Curry and Pierce, I don't need another guy who dominates the ball.
I'm also taking a guy that can guard 1s, 2,s 3s, and a large amount of fours. A guy that doesn't have two arms but has 8 octopus tentacles. A guy that guards the best player on the other team night in and night out and shuts them down to the point of frustration. A guy that even the best player in the league doesn't like seeing check back into the game. A guy that is only one of two wing players to win two DPOY awards. And quite possibly the greatest wing defender the NBA has seen.
I'm taking a low key guy that doesn't need the lime light and just wants to win. Who has won a championship. Who has won a Finals MVP. A guy that gets upset when he loses Wing Stop coupons. A guy that just wants to play basketball and play defense and win ball games.

Re: 2016 Scavenger Hunt Draft (ESaL's pick)
Thought about him way back in round 3 but thought I'd be chided for taking him so high. Also Stockton too hard to pass up.
With my last pick I'll take 2005-2006 Theo Ratliff as a very emergency big.

If I didn't pick Pippen, I absolutely would pick Kahwi. Good pick Esal.

Re: 2016 Scavenger Hunt Draft (Flip's pick)
I was going to take Penny Hardaway with my all NBA pick to be my starting PG. Surprised he didnt get picked at all, but i guess its because he was only available in two really deep categories, all-nba and rookie.
