Team Banana Boat??

Post#1 » by Powder Blue » Mon Aug 8, 2016 5:19 pm

http://www.denverstiffs.com/2016/8/7/12400652/lebron-james-and-josh-kroenke-are-boating-together-denver-nuggets

Lebron and Maverick Carter chilling with Josh Kroenke on daddy's new yacht. Something or nothing?

Step 1: Danilo Gallinari opts out
This is a step that would likely occur anyway. Gallo is looking for a max deal long term, and he will need to opt out to get said deal.

Step 2: Trade Wilson Chandler, Darrell Arthur, and Emmanuel Mudiay to the New York Knicks for Carmelo Anthony
This will be a difficult step for many Nuggets fans, particularly because Melo is the reason we are now a rebuilding franchise, but FEAR NOT! He's here to speed up the rebuilding process.

Step 3: Trade Kenneth Faried, Jameer Nelson, and Will Barton to the Chicago Bulls for Dwyane Wade
This is the most important step thus far. Wade has familiarity with James in the past, and he will be the most likely piece to coax LeBron to Denver.

Step 4: LeBron James and Chris Paul sign for the maximum amount of salary allowed under the new cap.
Here's the kicker. Both players will be able to opt out in 2017 if they so please. Why not take their talents to the Mile High City to form Team Banana Boat?

Step 5: Rings upon rings upon rings
Could the Golden State Warriors even compete with this roster?

CP3 - Jamal Murray

Wade - Gary Harris

Carmelo - Malik Beasley

LeBron - Juancho Hernangomez

Nikola Jokic - Jusuf Nurkic

Sure the second unit is young, but there are some very dangerous pieces. Given the likely high minute count for the starters, it probably isn't a big deal either.

I can't imagine that scenario playing out but it'd be crazy that's for sure.

I was hoping we could add Steph Curry & Kevin Durrant for our bench. ;-)

I mean anytime you got 2 basketball gods on your roster you got a shot. But a washed up wade and a declining Anthony isn't going to make them a favorite over golden state in my opinion. That's just how sick this warriors team is.

If durant is ever able to return to peak form look out

I think it's more of a "it's the offseason and we need something to talk about" kinda thing

I get that but there is such a thing a responsible journalism...that article ( and a couple others I've seen) are just fanatasy land stuff, at least premise it as such rather than call it "rumors".

Their heroes are probably Stephen A. Smith and Charles Barkley - their motto is: "Offend everyone possible and speak the truth as seldom as possible."

DenverStiffs is a blog, I doubt half the contributors are even paid. Calling it "Journalism" is kind of an overstatement. That being said I don't mind that they posted it. Nothing about the news is responsible these days.

Stephen A. is a gasbag but I like Barkley. He speaks the truth or what he feels is the truth rather than repeating the same things every other anchor on ESPN spews. He's not always right but it's fresh and entertaining to me. If you want the truth listen to the people running for president......oh wait :banghead:

Josh meeting with Maverick Carter is never a bad idea.

Read the comments on that article and the author admits it was a "satire". It was an April Fools type posting. Some of his readers took it serious and he thinks that's funny.
