Is that what the polls say? The people I know that support(ed) Trump have largely been past Republican voters.

I think you're both right. A lot of Trump supporters are people who probably weren't voting regularly....but they are largely Republicans.

Yeesh, I could be wrong - but I think a lot of them are blue collar voters that used to be Ds. They are more nationalistic in nature. They are against free trade.

I think there will be traditional Rs that will vote against Hillary.

But largely, I think this is a new group of voters. I think the traditional Rs (social conservatives) are apoplectic that Trump is their candidate.

I think there is a new group of socialist leaning Ds that are developing as well.

I think we are seeing a real shift in politics.

The Trump campaign put out an ad centered around Clinton's awkward pronunciation of the word "aren't" (or Freudian slip, for those of you who choose to believe that Clinton secretly wants to raise taxes on the middle class).

Somehow, I doubt that Clinton's campaign will build an ad around this bit of Trump misspeak:

Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

I might be wrong but I think those blue collar voters are for the most part Reagan Democrats. Not new voters.

I believe for the most part Trump is just attracting voters that lean Republican/conservative in the first place.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Hillary Clinton's "special agent" attendant:

Has been at her side since her concussion. Here is a 2013 photo:

Who is he? Here's the same guy from a 2001 website. Compare the eyebrows and ears.

The guy sitting on Bill Clinton's lap doesn't have that blue face tattoo. Definitely a different person.

You're correct. White males without a college degree have been key for the Rs for a while. In 2008 MCain took that vote by 8%. Romney in 2012 by 26%. Trump is leading by 40%! On the other hand, Trump's support is down just about everywhere else.

I laughed. He kinda looks like one of Bradley Beal's brothers. And I noticed that he's black... in both pictures. Very suspicious.

According to nate, this shaman yells "oonga boonga *click click*" and fires a Diazepam blow dart out of a clay tube into her neck to save her

Oh, Trump. What a way you have with word play. Hinting that the only way to stop a future President Hillary from appointing judges you don't like is with an assassin's bullet? Cheeky.

At this point, I'm not sure he's kidding when he makes comments like that and the ones regarding Putin.

...yet you have no trouble asserting they are photos of the same person. With, I might add, no doubt factor whatsoever. No "looks like" or "certainly could be" or... well, anything.

You have always been -- and still are -- a reliably objective, sensibly skeptical, observer of and commentator on basketball. In other threads, even when I disagree, I can see where you are coming from in pretty much any position you take, how you get to the opinion you have, in other words. Stuff like this, otoh... I just don't get it.

Maybe each of us has a part of his or her personality that's not subjected to what seem (to me at least) ordinary skeptical empiricism. I'm not making any judgement of anyone simply for supporting Donald Trump -- beyond simply saying that I find such support incomprehensible.

Can Trump be arrested for attempting to incite violence even if there is no assassination attempt against Clinton?

With each passing day Trump is looking like a bad SNL sketch (actually his entire campaign looks like one) The Trump handlers clean-up attempts are both Orwellian, and comical.

It's the media's fault... for reporting what happened. And they're not intending to be sarcastic when they say this stuff.

We need to show up when it's time to vote and send a message that we he's said isn't ok.
