i still cant believe we landed Serge for so much!

Most of those highlights are from years ago when Serge was in his prime.

In 2015, we were getting blast by OKC fans when we used to propose a dipo+ future 1st (which was the 2016 1st) for serge trade.

a year later, people r saying is too much?? :crazy:

In 2015, we were getting blast by OKC fans when we used to propose a dipo+ future 1st (which was the 2016 1st) for serge trade.

a year later, people r saying is too much??

I don't think Serge dominated like he used to in 2014 or 2015 thus it just appears he has declined. Perhaps, it was more the coaching utilizing Adams more. Who knows. This will be a make or break year for Serge and being it is a contract year, I expect him to have a great season. I am more concerned about the years afterwards.

This part I agree with. Strongest frontcourt we have had since we had Dwight/Gortat/Bass/Ryno

It's just funny how people wanted so badly the next Serge Ibaka.....and we finally attain the real thing and we're still complaining at times. He wanted out due to frustration with his role and his statistics showed and took a hit. There are many things that factor into individual stats... and as BMP said... coaching and personnel could factor into it all. At 26 he is at a great age to be added to this team... while still coming with the experience of playing on a contending team and being an integral part of it. So i will put my money on attributing his decline to those factors than i would physical or skill decline.

On another note.... that free throw line dunk for a bigman... pretty darn impressive still!

I still think serges struggles the last few years and last year especially had more to do with the new system and the emergence of Adams also serge being asked to do different things. He spent a lot more time guarding the perimeter on defense rather than being allowed to create havoc in the paint. They weren't playing to his strengths. On offense either having to resort to a perimeter and spot up shooter. I think Vogel will play through his strengths this year and get him back to where he was.

We'll see, the last 7 years showed us that his strength IS being a spot up jump shooter with the occasional straight line drive sprinkled in.
