Add any player to your team

Post#1 » by bleu » Wed Aug 10, 2016 4:52 am

If you could take any current player in the NFL and add them to your teams lineup without any trade taking place, who would you want?

For the Panthers, I think I'd probably go with Todd Gurley. Young, very bright future, and RB is really the position the Panthers are lacking right now. After that though, it would also be very very tempting to take Patrick Peterson or JJ Watt.

I might have to go with JJ Watt. Von Miller ain't too bad a pick either. On offense, I might go Odell or Julio Jones.

The best damn LB or Dt in the NFL. My team desperately needs both.

Cleveland Browns Joe Thomas at LT with newly acquired Jahri Evans at RG - if only one can dream about two experienced Pro-Bowl offensive linemen to mentor & share experience to Seattle's current young O-line

Julio Jones - big-bodied WR whose resume speaks for itself as it stands with his talent

JJ Watt. The Bears offense was actually good last year, but our defense has fallen.

Yeah, JJ Watt no question.

I really hope that JJ Watt is either able to have a few really good seasons in Houston, or move elsewhere and have a few really good seasons wherever that is before his career is over. It would be depressing to see such a hard worker and an incredible talent never even have a playoffs run.

I'll probably pull for Houston to some extent this year as they are on local tv here every week and I'll be interested to see how Brock Osweiler does this year. Every year I watch them I feel like if they just had a serviceable qb they would be very tough.

No, he's laughing because it's an odd choice but there's actually trrmuth behind what I said.
The Rams didn't need a mega star to improve that much. It's boring picking all star obvious choices that everyone else does.

Well, when the topic is about who, out of any single player in the NFL, you would like to add to your team and your answer is Jay Cutler...thats just hilarious

Cam Newton. A young MVP QB combined with our defense, yeah I'd be ok with that.

I heard a variation of this on local sports talk radio, but it added the caveat however that you couldn't choose a QB or JJ Watt/Gronk. I would love to choose Aaron Donald, but I don't think hes big enough to play NT on our D-Line, this leaves me with Luke Kuechly. I'd love Joe Thomas since that is more of a position of need, but Kuechly is 6 years younger, and a linebacker corps of Von/DeMarcus/Kuechly/Marshall with Ray/Barrett/Davis for depth is too tempting to pass up.

Well, he's a pro and he's won more games than any Rams QB and been consistent and broken Chicago QB records. So I'd say that was pretty intelligent choice.
My next project would be looking for a white cornerback. You can't tell me there aren't any in this country good enough.
There's white Receivers but no cornerbacks?

Cutler would do the same thing with the Rams as he does with the Bears. They would start out 6-3, fans would be excited, then finish 7-9.

Yeah if I couldn't take Watt I'd take Kuechly or the next best defensive guy. If offense a stud lineman or if RB David Johnson, who would be perfect for an all around back and security blanket for Rivers in passing game. Hopefully Gordon steps up this year though.

That's ridiculous and makes sense considering he is obviously much better than any Rams QB the last few years. He is most certainly a better passers-by and leader. The Bears as a whole haven't been that good but the have also been to a conference championship In relatively recent history...yes ,I'm aware Cutler got injured during that.

I'm still taking him, don't poo poo on my fantasy!

Anyone want to send me a Chinese knock off Cutler jersey for Christmas?

Cutler is the absolute last person I would want as my QB. Give me Mark Sanchez or Bradford before him any day. Dude is a tool. The opposite of a leader.
