Say both guys have something that is "sore". Not broken, sprained, torn, hyperextended. Just talking soreness.

One of them can miss a game for soreness, but the other guy is gonna have to play through it.

Or if both of them have the flu, then you're gonna have to shoot one of them up with whatever antibiotics you can find and throw him out on the court.

Something is sore when it is overworked. Overworked leads to instability, which then leads to injury. If something is sore, especially with those two, we better take every precaution or we will be paying for it dearly when they get legitimately hurt.

and if the knicks have the approach of taking every precaution then boy was it dumb to give noah, an injury prone player, a max contract.

We didn't give Noah a MAX contract

Wasn't a max. Way I see it, what's done is done - no point in crying over spilled milk.

Moving forward, I'm all for a minute cap and not playing him 30 minutes a night. Play KP at the 5, give KOQ minutes at the 5 (his natural position), G at the 5, etc.

i am going to cry over spilt milk. knicks traded a good young center in rolo to acquire a broken down player, and then they replaced that good center with an injury prone player.

this offseason was botched thanks to melo and his dumb window. if phil followed the plan of rolo/porzingis/2017 prospect with tons of cap space, you're looking at a dynasty but no.

knicks gonna knicks.

Heart means jack **** if he's not playing.

Edit - also, he skipped so much time when he was healthy and even Calipari says Rose needs to be babied. That's heart?

I was fine rolling everything over, getting a high pick, and using max space in 2017...but we didn't take that road. I loved RoLo (and dislike Rose) and was vehemently against the trade, but IMO there's no point in complaining. What's done is done.

Picture is one day too soon for a throwback Thursday. Current Rose =/= MVP Rose. Oh well. I'm done with you as we clearly have different views on how Rose will play this year.

Also, we desperately need a 3rd string point guard, unless Baker really is that guy?

I think that spot is Randles. Baker is a solid 2 guard, but he's no PG nor is he a Combo guard. Randle already knows the triangle so he'll fit in perfectly as that #3 PG. My worry is when Noah needs a game off, or is injured. KOQ starts & Billy/Plumlee (gag) off the bench seems nauseating. Rose & Noah will definitely miss some games, but losing Noah definitely hurts us more.

Did he seriously call Robin Lopez, KP and an unknown 2017 prospect a dynasty?

no i said rolo, kristaps, 17 lotto pick, and tons of free cap space is a dynasty.

that plan is way better than kristaps, aging melo, injury prone noah, and some cap space.
