The latest rumors/news after today's signings

FWIW Philly has the maximum 20 guys on the roster currently. 8 of them are unguaranteed so could be dumped at any time, but worth noting it's not like they seem obviously geared up to take a multiple guys currently.

Fun late summer bit though about Noel. He would be a great fit on the defensive end but hopefully he would come at the typical impending RFA trade cost.

According to what I've read, Noel is the same height and wingspan as KAT.. If not taller/longer.

I wouldn't mind Smart or Noel,but I'm not giving up Any starters or Smart. If Philly demand Smart then just walk away. We aren't desperate for either one.

As a Sixers fans Im happy Noel is more likely to get traded than Okafor because Okafor fits better with Simmons. And I like Noel so Id be happy for him if he gets to go home. Interested to see what a package would look like. A great defensive young player, but a RFA after the season.

What more do you want from your center? That DeAndre Jordan fadeaway jumper? That Tyson Chandler stepback J with the defender in his face? Or those Dwight Howard corner 3balls? I mean, he's young. In time he could develop that Rudy Gobert dominance in the paint..........

Right. And I don't think Smart is an ideal fit with Simmons... As he can't shoot a lick. All depends on much Philly likes Rozier nd his ability to become a legit PG.

He can get up on lobs. Can get above the backboard. His 12 foot jumper is ugly form but a decent %.

I and most of the people I know hate Rozier. He hasn't done much outside of SL. And yes Smart is the PG version of Noel, so not interested.

"All" is figurative here, right? Hope you're not generalizing 'cos there are people on this forum that have supported going after Noel (more than Okafor) long before the other rumors surfaced. It's just he hasn't been talked about much since the Okafor crowd has been louder (numerous pages spent debating on the guy) and there's always the star target of the week (KD, Griffin, Westbrook, Boogie) to talk about last July.

Can't think of a single person and I read this forum daily. Not saying you're wrong but even I never pushed for him.

But I do remember most of this forum hating on him intensely in those Okafor conversations. Would always get bashed if I said I liked his game a lot so I gave up. Not like I watch him live a ton and know what I'm talking about or anything.

Wish Hinkie was still GM. Trade wise Danny vs Hinkie is MJ vs LeBron.
Look at his trade history, it's fleece city. We got Saric and our 2017 pick(which we can now swap with SAC) for Elfrid Payton. We also got an unprotected 2019 SAC pick, swap rights for two years and Stauskas for taking on Carl Landry and Jason Thompson.

I doubt Philly has much interest in Smart. I'm sure they are looking to surround Ben with shooters. Ben and Marcus wouldn't be an ideal fit.

Thing is Philly has no guards. Smart or Rozier would be a huge upgrade for them.

I live in Philly and was a big Hinkie fan. Most of this forum hates him though.
