What a crazy ending to a game. And then they STILL get it back, drive it well into Vandejagt's range, and he misses. Also "one for the thumb" is stupid because no player has 5. Maybe a Rooney does but that's about it.

I was actually rooting for Pittsburgh to upset Indy that year. Little did I know, they would later benefit greatly from the guys in striped shirts. That was an awful...awful day. Jerome Bettis.

The absolute worst performance by a winning Super Bowl team in the history of the Super Bowl. If there were any justice, they'd have invited the conference runners-up to go to Detroit to determine the real champions that year. It's kind of fitting though since Jerome Bettis eventually got into the Hall of Fame on the merit of hanging around long enough with his sub-4 ypc average to compile a decent number of yards. Goddamn, my Steeler hate is rounding into mid-season form.

I was super pissed watching that Super Bowl and I am far from a Seahawks fan. The Steelers are one of my least favorite teams.

There were a handful of questionable calls that completely sapped any momentum we would of had. A push off in the endzone on our opening drive which was very questionable. The Phantom TD by big Ben, when he was clearly short of the goal line. A number of holding calls that took points away. Hasselbeck had an egregious chop block called against him. It was so maddening. I'm normally pretty cautious about focusing on one or two calls and claiming a team got jobbed because I believe for the most part, the calls fall pretty evenly. Some just end up under the microscope because of timeliness, but Seattle got jobbed.

I know it is a big business but damn it's pretty absurd. I mean I even like to play fantasy and run multiple leagues but how long can you talk about it before it getting old? I guess if you're making bank TO talk about it, it probably wouldn't get old.

I mean I am a die hard football fan. I was at the gym today and everywhere I turn are them on tv talking about their 2 day fantasy football marathon.

Obviously if there is demand, they will put it out there, but it's crazy. But the most absurd part to me is that they get in suits and stand around and talk like they are talking about something important. It seems they should at least be in some man cave or something decked out with sports memorabilia with casual clothes and caps on or something...maybe like the grantland setup was.

Exactly. I mean sometimes I read their stuff for fun, but I like having my own opinions. And for the most part, the worst part about it is, all they do is just rank people based on last season's stats anyway. I mean the stuff they don't understand is what is usually most important. For example, Stevie Johnson who was great with the Bills a number of years ago, but then subsequently played with bad qbs, got signed by the Chargers and wasn't even ranked. Rivers can work well with ANYONE, let alone a pretty good receiver. Berry didn't have him ranked AT ALL. I tweeted him telling him that was a mistake because Rivers is better than any qb he has played with. I drafted him last year with the very last pick in all my drafts and he helped me quite a bit when I needed to plug in someone.

The only time I check out Espn, is if they have a game going. I will catch Espnfc show. Otherwise, its not worth the time. They have really dropped the ball on their international soccer coverage. EPL rights are NBC's. Fox has Champions League/Bundesliga coverage. Really disappointing.

Yup. They keep losing people too. Mike Tirico just left for NBC, I believe. MLS isn't going to pull in the viewers either lol.

Most Fond NFL Memory: 2008 Chiefs vs Chargers game in Arrowhead...Chargers made an incredible comeback to keep playoffs hopes alive (and eventually get in).

I didn't even realize you were a Chargers fan. It's funny the team I was going to list as team I hate is Patriots too, and you'd think we'd pick Denver, Oakland or KC, but I just despise NE. I was having trouble deciding on one fond memory but that was a great satisfying game.

The playoff game against the Colts that season was also an amazing game. I still watch reruns of the Sproles TD run in OT on YouTube from time to time.
