The rumors regarding Pierce sounds like a James Young dump. But, I would imagine that's the kind of deal that is there if we can't make a larger consolidating deal. I would love to have Pierce on this team as an 11-12th man mentor type. I don't want him to sign here and retire. I want him to play his last season as a Celtic. Whether it's this year or next.

the more wins the better. they are not going anywhere this year but we don't want philly getting too good a pick and we certainly want LAL to be better than Brooklyn. I agree though they will have a tough time winning 30 games but at least the players fit together and there is some resemblance of talent at every position. I hope I'm wrong about Ingram being a 20 ppg scorer for 10 straight years.

Kupchak has gone from one of the best in the business to one of the worst. Long string of bizarre moves that would push them to the treadmill if a lot of these vets didn't end up sucking. I thought Kobe was the main problem, guess not.

Brown, Jackson, Bentil can be traded on the 26th, not saying I want Brown traded, just something to keep in mind.

Jackson and Bentil makes roughly 2 million combined and Bentil has a partially guaranteed deal.

Those and Holland, Young, Hunter, Mickey are trade fillers. If Sixers want a guard they can pick between Jackson, Rozier. I like Rozier though and Jackson could be good down the line but if I had to pick I am parting ways with Jackson.

So either Jackson or Rozier, in addition to Young and one of Mickey, Hunter plus Holland and Minnys 2nd for Noel.

Another option is to keep Mickey and trade Bentil instead.

The Reddit page had a link to pierce posting a picture of his Celtics award cabinet and people thought that means we are going to trade for him. So it's not really a rumor but it would be a pretty obvious move to make in a consolidating 2-1 deal.

Pierce could be what KG is to the Wolves right now for the young guys and occasionally get us some buckets.

Also I followed Terry Rozier on Snapchat after reading the Reddit thread as well. I saw the post he tagged I'm making the jump soon stay tuned. It was after him posting videos of some intense basketball workouts.

I don't think it was referencing a trade. I think it was him being confident about having a good year and asserting himself as the 3-4th guard on the team. I like the confidence. But who really knows? Let's see if any rumors heat up as the Olympics end.

I still think it's crazy Jim Buss forcing some of these moves. Kupchak is just following orders, patiently waiting until Jeannie comes back, hoping that she will actually let him do his job, instead of firing him and bringing her bf back.

Give Kupchak flack, but he's been drafting very well the past 3 years. Randle and Clarkson (a fantastic find) in 14, Russell and Nance (another great pick) in 15, and Ingram and Zubac (yet another solid second rounder) in 16. Good young core they've assembled.

Yi is not a bad pickup as a backup big. He has played well in the Olympics and has been playing consistenly un China for years. He's an experienced big and I think it's a decent signing for LA. I do recall him being injury prone, but they're only giving him a one year deal, so not risky for them.
