I know it's early, but won't the Kings trading the 8th pick, which could have been Chriss, Poeltl, even Thon or Sabonis, potentially go down as one of the worst trades of all time? Either Papagiannis or Skal, or both, needs to blow up in a major way.

Pressey/Curry/Klay/KD/Nutcracker

Crack all you want on Pressey, but he still had a better FG% when he was last with us than Smart did last season.

Pressey '14-'15 season: FG%: .368
Smart '15-'16 season: FG% .348

And Pressey had a FG% of .385 last year with Philly and Phoenix through 23 games.

Lakers signing Yi Jianlan to a 1 year deal worth $8 million. Danny needs to cut James Young and open up a roster spot for Yi's arch rival.

Sadly, I think that chair might be better than James Young.

I hope they film Young's end of training camp meeting with Ainge and Stevens. I'd imagine it'd be something like this...

Anyone familiar with women's hoops? Curious what the talent gap is between US and everyone else. Is it much easier for our women to win than the men or are our women just that good?

I first heard that song on the record player of a woman I had a disastrous relationship with.

This was the time I was also posting Billy Joel lyrics on my dorm room door, speciically to The Stranger or She's Always a Woman.
Banned temporarily for, among other sins, being "Extremely Deviant".

Kinda hard to dislike Melo, he's shown he's a pretty good guy recently.

I agree with this, but all of these Olympians need to slow their roll with calling their gold medal their "championship." I mean all the props in the world for their accomplishment; Melo calling his three golds a championship is one thing, but Paul George pulling the same thing is strange. Almost like with what happened in GS, players are "aw shucking" the season. A gold medal isn't a 'ship, don't get it twisted.

Argentina's 04 Medal is a championship for sure. A gold Medal as part of Team USA isn't even close, if that's considered unfair then so be it tbh. Melo having a hat trick is something though I guess.

Why is it that it's unfair for the United States to send NBA players? All the other countries were sending their own professional players while the US was just sending college kids, all the way until 1988.

There should be some rules on nba players like Five per team. Something needs to be done. It is a joke now.

Tell the other countries to step it up then. I don't see anyone complaining, asking Kenya not to send their best long-distance runners. Anyone asking China to send their C-list divers?

I'm not even American, but this whole notion that the US hold back it's best players (and you can even make the argument that they didn't even send their best players this year) just for the sake of having competitive games is a joke. If Team USA happens to be dominant, then so be it.
