Aaron Gordon already showed he can score the ball. He had 12 points in 1 quarter last season. He scores in a multitude of ways and is poised to break out this year. If that happens, he will be the lead story on the Magic's resurgence and all the media ..etc who doubted where the offense would come from will be writing about how great Gordon is and how he can defend any position.
The Magic have the potential to be a lot better than people think. If Elf doesn't develop, I believe Augustine is a great fit for us. A lineup of him, Evan, Gordon, Ibaka and Bizmack could be rather balanced and be very tough to score on.

Re: Some Aaron Gordon News from USA Basketball Practice
I am going put this out there. I think Aaron is going be on the 2020 Tokyo team. I have seen him in the past really really talk about wanting to play for the USA. I think it's a big desire of his. If he keeps improving I think it's entirely possible. He is an atheltic version of Draymond to me. Maybe he wont, I just know he really wants to play for them and I have a gut feeling he will be on the team. Making an All-Star game would really help out his cause before then.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

Great signs for Orlando and makes a lot of what I wrote here below far less impactful:

If he has truly learned to shoot he will be a premier player. I always thought, being an AZ alum and watching all his college games, that his peak could be Rodman like with his defense and rebounds. I think he had like 18 rebounds in one game. He clearly is a team player doing whatever he can do to play his part on the team. He won like 4 state championships in high school and is just a winner. Stanley Johnson is the same way.
I like your team. I'm not sure all the fits are perfect but if Payton improves, I like him and Fournier. Jennings can be the perfect sixth man too. Then you have so many good forwards and centers. Besides the obvious ones like Gordon, Biyombo, Vucevic, I also like Nicholson and of course Ibaka could be the difference maker if he can get back to his form two years ago, and being a contract year, I'm sure he will be determined. The EC will be so interesting because I think so many teams people count out could be super competitive like you guys, the Knicks, and MIami if Bosh plays. Detroit will be much better too.
And of course you made a great coaching hire. I will be interested to watch your team this year. Oh, I loved Hezonja in the draft too. After Towns and Porzingis, he was up there for me with Russell and Okafor. I think for the Suns he was third on my list.

Oh, my bad. After typing about the player I knew, I looked at the rest of your depth chart on espn I think and was surprised to see Jennings...hadn't realized he ever player there, but didn't realize Nicholson was gone.

Yeah Jennings came over in the Harris trade last season but went to the Knicks this summer and Nicholson went to Washington.
