Simmons, Saric, Embiid, Okafor and Noel.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

I don't wish this on any body, but injuries do happen. It's a long season. Also, upsets happen too.

How about the Spurs/Lakers in the 2000s?

There has been 6 different teams in the Finals in the past 6 years: Gstate, Cleveland, Miami, Spurs, Thunder, Mavs.

The Warriors are not a 100% lock to make the Finals for two reasons.

1. The Spurs and Clippers.

2. Injuries (both KD and Curry are prone to serious feet, ankle, or knee issues) and chemistry.

That's a little disingenuous, since 6 of those teams featured Lebron James.

So fully expecting that no other team except GSW and the Cavs will be in the finals makes you happy. Set your expectations low, I guess. Fair enough. lol

In the NBA? I can guarantee you baring an injury that in 10 months GSW and Cleveland will be in the finals.

I'm not renewing LP, and probably will watch a little less and more football. But I look forward to seeing Westbrook and the growth of the young guys on OKC (Payne, Oladipo, Adams, Kanter, Sabonis, Roberson). Still a solid young core to enjoy.

I imagine fans of other teams will feel the same. The Raptors never really had a chance to beat the Cavs last year...but for Raptors fans that was the most exciting basketball season they've ever had. It's not always about the end result...the journey can be very enjoyable too.

Most NBA stars grow into themselves. When Curry and Kawhi first came into the league, how many people really thought they'd be top 5 players? Not many.

Wouldn't you want to watch to see if you have the next Steph Curry or Kawhi on your team? (in terms of development)

Me too. I renewed my nba game pass subscription for each of those 4 years. I do the same w the browns and they haven't been in contention forever. It's about setting improvement and looking forward to the future.

I wouldn't say it's out of the realm of possibility that the spurs or possibly even clippers beat the warriors. It's very very unlikely but I think a WCF with either of those teams vs the warriors would draw some attention

But when a blatant call goes against them when they face a superstar team, and it will; what will you say then? The WWE with a ball only gets away with this because we allow them to.

But that's my point, in the NBA, it never comes (unless you somehow land a marketable superstar).

Is GS probably going to win the title? Maybe. Is Cleveland? Maybe. Remember when the Lakers formed the Payton, Kobe, Malone, Shaq team and people said it was going to be a **** show. Then the Pistons won.

You never know.

If the only reason you watch a sport is because your team might win, then I suggest you find a different sport to watch.

Oh, I agree, the WWE with a ball may even allow it to go seven, but we all know that GSW will prevail; Durant and Curry; marketable superstars.

That's a little different because in this case both of these teams are already proven teams that have won the last 2 championships.

Meh, whatever, they're not winning a title anyway.

I'll probably lose some interest once they're out of the postseason, or in the finals.

I already mentioned that my interest has significantly waned due to superstar calls and non calls, but you're missing my point. It's not that a team won't win this season, it's that unless a team gets a bonafide superstar, they will NEVER win; ever.

You're making my point for me. They do it because we, the fans that pay their salaries, allow them to do it. It's on us.

The Lakers won 3 titles in a row from 2000-2002.

I already said I'm not getting LP. I'll watch what is on national TV, luckily for me OKC has a bunch of games.
