I'm not totally sure about that. I really don't think he did that bad of a job. Surely, the guy proved to be an unbearable prick and his players hated him but he still did manage to win 10 more games this season.

I'm sorry but 10 more wins sounds like progress any way you slice it.

Ten more wins is great but didn't really seem like anyone came out of last year a much better player. Rather, once our team was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs around the same time we usually are, we got some extra wins. Anywho, glad he's gone and looking forward to Vogel.

I wanted Skiles gone and celebrated his departure, but Mario improved a lot during the season and ended up the year playing solid team defense (man on man it was a different story). AG also improved in the second half of the season and Evan benefited from the team play Skiles brought.

He did have some good stuff, but it was a terrible fit with our young, non-shooting, roster.

Mario improved his defense, true. But AG just got more minutes. Minutes that he deserved all season long. Evan benefited from our offense basically being designed to get him in particular good looks every time down.

Fournier was almost an afterthought before last season and became a key part of our core and arguably our best offensive player.
Oladipo finally became a plus defender and improved a lot a passer.
Payton improved his shooting slightly and showed glimpses of being the playmaker we all know he can become.
Gordon made a lot of progress though its expected after missing half of his rookie year and getting more minutes.
Vuc developed his driving game a bit and became a better passer.

I guess its common to expect a bit more progress from young guys but in reality it usually takes a while before players elevate their game to another level.

When you look compare the perception of last year's rookie class before the season and after you can see that everyone expects huge progress from sophmores and most dont live up to those expectations.

Wigging was considered a future HOF and now many see him as a rudy Gay type of player, Parker was supposed to be a perrenial all star but now people question his defense and lack of outside shooting, Noel was viewed as a DPOY talent with major upside on offense but now people question if hes even a starter in the NBA, Bulls fans are down on Mirotic after hyping him up as a future all star.

I can go on but the point is that usually young players will make marginal improvement every year and will likely break out around their 4th year in the NBA, the same thing happend with Vuc, Harris and Fournier so were still a couple of years away from seeing what we have in Gordon, Payton and Hezonja.

i would debate a bit of that. we saw what we got from Harris as soon as he left Milwaukee and got playing time. Same with Vuc, take away his first year with no playing time, we saw what he was in the first 2 years, he just got more shots the following 2 years.
