I signed up. My picks will be the same as what I write on the Meteorology pieces every Thursday

Saw you signed up. Should be fun. Up to about 45 players so far and I know of at least 5 more or so that will sign up. But just got 7 or so today so I imagine a few will sign up each day for the next couple of weeks. Only had about 20 active participants last year.

I'm in, and my only true goal is to finish higher than Mr. E.

Let the games begin.

There's over 50 registered players, out of which 6 that I can't identify:

chris1ll 1 / chill48
oldgridiron 1 / oldgridiron
CaptainGrayson 1 / CaptainGrayson
Vesuvios420 1 / Hey Yo!
MLN21
Ken_nostradamus

Please rename your ESPN account so it matches your RealGM username, it's very simple to do: Account Information -> Edit ESPN Name. Or identify yourselves in this thread.

Thanks

I noticed you joined, but the username in our group was this espn63628135 1

So in trying to identify, I clicked on that and saw you are in another league with the entry of your realgm username. Was this an error? It shows you haven't made picks yet in our group, but made all your picks in the other one.

I'm in, but am wondering about last year's scoring - this win rate setup where people clearly didn't pick all the matchups which likely protected the numbers... that going to be a thing this year?

Regardless, looking forward to bragging rights being assigned based on results that all land within the error bounds of the median.

This year that won't be a problem because it is on espn, so spreads will be posted on Tuesday and then you can pick games then and change your picks if you want to up to kickoff.

Also, it is strictly based on number of correct picks, so if you miss any, that is only going to hurt you. As a matter of fact, espn won't even let you submit your picks one week unless you have picked all games. Perhaps you can still pick the rest if you miss thursday, but that wouldn't give you an advantage because no pick is no better than a wrong pick.

Last year it was mostly people forgetting an entire week, or the early games. People didn't seem to be picking and choosing, which is what you obviously do if you are really gambling. Some weeks it did benefit people and they missed a particularly tough week, but that won't happen this year. If they miss a tough week where the winner gets 7 right, they still get 0, and it is all about correct games picked.

Are you cookies? MeSayMikey?

I can't identify you and we want to make sure we can to recognize the winners here, etc, so can you please change your entry name to your realgm username? Thanks! And glad to have you playing!

I'm in too... built a prediction model last year but it requires like 6+ weeks of data to be useful so I should start slow :)

*edited to add that the ESPN lines are across the board pretty different from the Vegas lines that I'm finding. Is this normal?
