Why even play this? The winner is pretty clear right? Not even Sevilla finishing third in their CL group will stop us.

West Ham lose 1-2 to NK Domzale in the first leg of the EL playoff playing a full strength side.

8-)

Will they complete the double? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/33738588

Still think they go log through, but it's not a bad thing for them if they get knocked out of Europe so early. It helped them last season.

a few top 4 league teams seem to get knocked out in these early matches every year. fitness issues more than anything. I guess it's time for me to start rooting against EPL teams in Europe to dream of the 4th CL spot returning to Italy.
yet, Sassuolo tied some crap team today themselves.

Gent - Vittorul 5-0
Genk - Cork City 1-0

Tricky for Genk, but Gent demolished George Hagi's team.
West-Flemish for behinners:

West Ham knocked out by Astra Giurgiu for the second year running

Just a bit of info about Astra: 11th (of 14) in the Romanian league. No money, sold best players, manager is suspended for betting on football. Owner is in jail. Their last league match was a 5-1 hammering at the hands of 12th place CFR Cluj.

The great Slaven Bilic eliminated in EL-qualification by Astra Giurgiu twice in a row. To quote Massimo: What an incredible coach he is.

Giurgiu could probably pay their entire team for a couple seasons with the money West Ham is about to spend on Zaza.

...and their manager would probably still have some money left to bet on games.

The draws are in.

A bit sad for Mainz that they couldn't get a team like United, Inter etc. but they should have a chance to go through.
Schalke's group is interesting.
They'll play Red Bulls branch in Austria and will also face Nice, who're now managed by Lucien Favre and will start Dante.

Group is a bit lame. Teams like Anderlecht or Saint-Etienne are not going to fill the stadium mid-week in Mainz. Not even talking about Qäbala or however they are pronounced

But it's great away trips for the fans.

Very easy to go to Brussels and St. Etienne from Rheinland-Pfalz.

I think you can take the FlixBus from Mainz to Brussels for around €18. And it just takes 3-4 hours.

Yeah, this is actually the only positive thing...but I will most likely not have holidays for a couple months.
