This guy fell pretty hard thereafter but he made quite an impact during his peak years. I'll take his 1995-96 season when he averaged 19.6 ppg on a ridiculous 11.9 FGA and helped the Sonics make the NBA Finals.

Almost took him in round 2 because the value was amazing then too, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get a really good efficient perimeter player alongside my big duo.

I firmly believe KG is best utilized defensively when you can move him around, and having an elite defensive anchor like Patrick Ewing allows me to do that. KG and Ewing, both of whom have amazing mid range games, fit together amazingly too.

1979-80

1st team All-Defense, lead the league in assists and steals, also added 15.3 ppg and 6.6 boards. The only player Isiah Thomas said he was afraid to play . . .

With my first trio of picks, I have three players who can capably guard any perimeter player thus chosen (and thusly yet)

This pick was a hot debate as I had multiple guys on the draft board and even a theme with my lineup.
I'm going with
Spoiler:
Michael Cooper

Mark Price.

Totally unforgotten player of the 80s and early 90s. Absolutely elite offensive player at modest FGA. I have an elite offensive backcourt at fewer than 24 shots per game.

I take Artis Gilmore. He is probably the last big man who can hold his own on both ends of the floor - great defender, shot-blocker and rim-protector, on the other end a very efficient scorer, averaged 18 PPG on 67% shooting and was an excellent FT shooter for a big man.

I'll go with Ben Wallace 02 (might choose 03 )

6fga per game

One of the best defenders of alltime, great rebounder, shotblocker, great at stealing and extremely low fga per game
