Yeah, not a ton of positives to take away from week 3 other than that we're one week closer to the regular season. I've got a coworker who is a Denver fan and has been talking smack to me ever since the Super Bowl, so I really hope we can get them back to shut him up at least a little bit.

Lee is a great punter. Jackson dumping him because he didn't want to tackle someone in a preseason game doesn't speak well for Jackson's future IMO. That's a pretty hot headed and stupid thing to do, although getting a 4th rounder back in return is kind of nuts and probably should be commended.

You guys should have elite elite ST this year. It's important, no matter what anyone says. Won the Niners more than a few close games in recent years - as well as lost a few (important ones too).

happy with the lee trade.

only bad thing is he makes a good bit of $$$ for a punter.

Thanks for the insight. I wasn't happy to see that we traded a 4th rounder for a punter, but we really needed one, and at least we got a solid one like Lee. A good punter can make a huge difference for a team.

Punters have long careers too - so there's that. Clearly the team values ST play - I think it could pay off.

David Newton ESPN Staff Writer

The "Three Amigos" are no more. The Panthers have released rookie cornerback Zack Sanchez, according to sources. The fifth-round pick out of Oklahoma was one of three rookie cornerbacks drafted by Carolina in its search to replace Josh Norman. Sanchez, second-rounder James Bradberry and third-rounder Daryl Worley became known as the "Three Amigos" because they always were together. There is a strong chance Sanchez is signed to the practice squad if another team doesn't pick him up.

Panthers backup guard Chris Scott has been suspended by the NFL without pay for the first four games of the 2016 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances. Scott will be eligible to return to the Panthers' active roster on Monday, October 3 following the team's October 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
