I figured that was coming as soon as the reports trickled out last week that the NFL actually didn't have any additional evidence against Clay and Pep.

If MLB cleared Ryan Zimmerman and Ryan Howard, it was almost a guarantee that the NFL guys were going to be cleared because I'm positive that MLB looked a lot harder into the allegations than the NFL did.

Good, distraction gone. Now it's onward to our next Super Bowl title.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Goodell is such a POS. This announcement shouldn't shock anyone considering all the recanting that was done when all this broke last year.

All just a show of power by the league to prove they could force the dudes to talk.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I see a lot of people ripping Al Jazeera for this, but any and all anger should really be directed at Goodell and the NFL for pursuing a report who's only source recanted the entire thing months ago. Or, ya know, the sleaze-bag intern (Charlie Sly) who admitted he lied about everything (including being a pharmacist) right before the report was released.

The problem is the public by and large, not including people who followed the story, didn't even know the allegations were recanted.
The "investigation" by league really just came off as paying lip service to shut up the bandwagon accusers and flexing their muscle. Really I didn't have much of a problem with the way the league handled it. Needing a face to face interview and not just a phone conference with the players is the only part were I'd say they overplayed their hands but understand insisting on talking to them in the first place.
Could they have just let it go and not interviewed the players? Sure. But for a guy like Clay, who I've seen accused of PED use by fans around the league, it would've only flamed the flames if it was viewed as them sweeping it under the rug.
Pretty much I'm just saying that yes it was a power play by the league and could've been handled different. I just don't have a huge problem with it because if they would've done nothing they would've opened themselves to ridicule and set president for future allegations. Or rather don't have a problem that that NFL choose to grandstand
