I'll update this later but give me Erick Dampier.

Can someone quote the next guy for me?

I'll pick this plus-minus GOD from the late 90s-early 2000s. Super-active defender and rebounder who was limited offensively but very efficient. Averaged a whopping 3.9 shots per game for his career so he won't affect my remaining FGA too much.

With my next pick I'm going to select an excellent role player, a great perimeter defender, a true 3-and-D guy and fitting perfectly under the FGA cap - Trevor Ariza.

Omer Asik.

Just need a guy who can give me roughly 10 minutes per game backing up Ewing. This guy was a starting caliber defensive big stuck in that role on the Bulls, but was still extremely effective in limited minutes.

Glad to grab him, gives me some much needed flexibility.

As Dave Zinkoff would say in falsetto:
FFFFFFFFRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But he was in Cleveland now enjoying the last good season of his career. I considered more efficient shooting guards but I felt I needed that one player who can create a good shot in any situation. He also shot .420 from downtown this year. He could still get it done against top opponents. To wit:

MJ(3 games) - 32 ppg/4.6 apg/.507/.455 from 3(5/11)
Clyde the Glide(2 games) - 26 ppg/5 apg/.513/.750 from 3(3/4)
Coop(2 games) - 17.5 ppg/2.5 apg/.481/.333 from 3(2/6)
Squid(6 games) - 22.5 ppg/3.5 apg/.446/.533 from 3(8/15)
DJ(5 games) - 22.8 ppg/3 apg/.479/.462 from 3(6/13)
Robertson(2 games) - 22.5 ppg/3.5 apg/.409/.500 from 3(3/6)

against these 6:
23.9 ppg/3.6 apg/.464/.491 from 3 TS%-.540

Plus, he won't have to force as many shots on my team as he did on the '86 Cavs

Pretty sure I take this guy in every draft, so why not keep it going?

Larry Nance. Elite defender, great mid-range shooter, and perfect complement to Shaq.

All the calculating has paid off. Since we're building a dynasty might as well go with the guy nicknamed as such on basketballreference

With our final pick Team Till selects

Yao Ming

One of the most physically imposing bigs of all time gets to lead our small ball revolution. All my stars have played with a great big man so why not?

Of the Albany State Jones boys, here's . . .

Image
1989-80

CHARLES JONES

This photo shows him doing something he seldom did, and that is - hold the ball on offense. He averaged an amazing 2.1 FGA per game over 9 seasons. It goes it without saying that . . . well, Sikma and Ruland are not great shot blockers but they're exceptional position and team defenders. This guy fills in the gaps - he was an outstanding weakside shotblocker, plus he was known to be able to handle face-the-basket bigs like D-Rob. 5 years later, at age 37, he signed with the Rockets and guarded guys like the Mailman, D-Rob, and Shaq as Hakeem's backup on his way to a championship. This year he finished 7th in blocks, 6th in block percentage, and 2nd in Defensive Box Plus/Minus. He was a pretty good defender

Alright, we had a couple of scares there, but it looks like my plan is still coming to fruition here. I have always been a firm believer of depth in these games, and I have managed to scrape together enough FGA to get a truly elite scoring option off the bench. It is with joy that I complete my roster with Detlef Schrempf to bring the pain from off the bench.

Image

He can either function as a stretch 4 or as a 3 that creates tons of mismatches against shorter players, and as our 6th man its very likely he'll see significant time doing both. An amazingly versatile offensive player who could shoot, pass, and post, and is familiar with the 6th man role he'll be asked to play here, and he's a great fit being surrounded by defensive stalwarts like Ewing, KG, Battier, and Asik.

Thrilled to be able to land this guy with my last pick.

With my last pick in the draft I select Goran Dragic and I bring my team's FGA to exactly 88.0 (I really need to go to bed because I'm at work in less than 8 hours so I'll update my roster page tomorrow morning to show you how the magic happened).

I'll now complete my bench with one of my favourite role players. At his peak he was a tough-nosed defender who gave Dwyane Wade in particular all he could handle, and a smart floor general who could nail the outside shot with both accuracy and volume. The perfect combination of size, shooting, and playmaking that I needed for this slot.

I'll take Marques Johnson. Good scorer, creator and defender. Basically a do it all guy that can play the 2 or the 3. Maybe even a little bit of 4.

Rounds out my rotation nicely.

Ill go with Arvydas Sabonis 95-96 season 9.9 fga per game

Image

He is an elite offensive center with good threepoint shot (37,5%) and his true shooting % was 61,7%. He is a great passing center and should help greatly with spacing, playmaking and scoring.

He is also a really good defender and rebounder and now I got some huge center to help against the big centers like Shaq, Yao and others
